mehud7ParticipantAsk your child?

luckymom30ParticipantNeed ideas for a friend, but thanks for the suggestion as I always ask my child what type of party they want.

mypatience1978ParticipantWe have done Mexican themes, Movie Night themes, Hawian themes, this year we are doing a Costume from any movie theme!

addParticipantBoys or girls? Size of group? I have a friend who does sewing parties for kids – my daughter had one where each kid brought a t-shirt to “transform” into a unique style and design. It was really fun & creative.

changingtimesMemberI’m having the same delimma for my daughter. She’s had a swimming party every year since 1st grade and invited her whole class but now that the girls are “developing” nobody wants to be scene in a bathing suit! Lol! I was checking out that sky high place in south center that looks fun! Or there is some trampoline place that is all the rage!
March 5, 2012 at 3:31 am #749854
BonnieParticipantIs there a sky high in Southcenter? I thought it was only in Bellevue.
March 5, 2012 at 3:41 am #749855
changingtimesMemberOops I ment sky venture..the sky diving place..sky high is the trampoline place..lol!
March 5, 2012 at 4:28 am #749856
BonnieParticipantOh man! You got me all excited! I was hoping there was one in Southcenter so we didn’t have to head to the eastside.

luckymom30ParticipantSwimming is out because as changingtimes said no one wants to be seen in a bathingsuit. Rollerskating is a great idea and I was curious as to experiences people have had holding parties at Southgate. Not sure as to size of the party but it will be a co-ed party. My friend lives in Federal Way but will soon be moving to West Seattle.

BonnieParticipantWhat time of year? The time of the year makes a difference on what type of party.

QueMemberMy daughter had her party at Southgate last year and they bring in pizza, soda and ice cream, all you have to do is provide cake (we went and got cake balls from the 3.14 Bakery on 16th) and we had skaters of all skill levels, and had a blast.

jissyParticipantJust visited Arena Sports on East Marginal today.. they have Birthday party packages that include time on the soccer field(s).
Nothing like a good ‘ole slumber party either with lots of movies and junk food!
March 5, 2012 at 7:10 am #749862
jissyParticipantJust remembered — one of my most favorite friends’ parties when I was about 11 or 12 was a slumber party that included a scavenger hunt through the neighborhood. I’d never heard of one, but it was SO fun to go house-to-house asking for weird things like safety pins and a 1/2 cup of flour or whatever. May not be so welcoming these days with so many people leery of solicitors (as am I), but I loved it!

luckymom30ParticipantSky diving, roller skating or a sulmber pary are great ideas, thanks!
