justduckyParticipantNeed to replace our archaic refrigerator, don’t really want to go to a ‘big box’, any local places you can recommend? Willing to drive to Tukwila-ish to look if you really like them.
Thanks!

mehud7ParticipantMay be ‘big box,’ but just purchased a washer/dryer at Albert Lee at Southcenter. It was quick, painless, and delivered/set up quickly. They hauled the old unit away for free too.

Barry2012ParticipantEcho Albert Lee in Southcenter. They are delivering on Saturday with haul away of old appliances. They are having a sale now too. Speak to Diana Raynor-She helped us out and was fantastic!

elmaParticipantHighly recommend Wiseman’s. Local business. Very reliable. If you need to contact them, a simple phone call is all it takes. No multiple phone trees nor call centers based who knows where. Gave up on Sears several years ago whem I wanted call the local store. It was impossible. Long waits on hold and then ended up talking to someone in Florida! They were unable to address my concern nor could they connect me with anyone who could.

justduckyParticipantThank-you for the replies!
Didn’t realize Albert Lee had a store in Southcenter, I remember my parent buying a fridge from them when I was a kid. (I wouldn’t consider them ‘big box’ since they are locally owned)

Barry2012ParticipantMontana-When we bought all our appliances they were on a “home show sale” which I think the home show is happening soon. Got a Boshe dishwasher, GE stove and Kitchenaid fridge all on this “home show” sale…great deals. the salesperson-Diana-was excellent.
I will say Wisemans is fantastic for customer service. Love supporting local business.

trickycooljParticipantWiseman x 1000! They had better prices than the big box stores and Albert Lee when I was shopping for my Washer/Dryer combo and their install crew got the stack up my 3ft wide townhouse stairs to the 3rd floor. I don’t know how they worked that magic! After I went in on a Saturday afternoon and chatted about the various machines they had, they gave me all the model numbers that fit my needs so I could research on my own, I was able to call and complete the sale over the phone when I decided which set I wanted.
Wiseman also gave me good advice on the future of my refrigerator which I did buy from Best Buy without any help… they warned me that I’ll have trouble finding anyone in the area that services the brand I bought should anything go wrong (eeek!) wish I would have done my research first before hastily buying a refrigerator when I was in the closing process with my house.

dhgParticipantTried Albert Lee because they have so many items to choose from. It got a little confusing so we left without buying anything. Stopped in at Wiseman’s where it looks like there’s just room for a few vacuum cleaners. They had exactly the dishwasher I wanted, at the right price, but then they asked what was wrong with the one I had and suggested sending a guy to check it out first. That guy was able to fix it. So, no sale this time but they’ll be my first stop next time.

GinaParticipantWiseman’s. Everything they carry can be repaired locally if something goes wrong.
