Any recommendations for a pie supply? Shoofly stopped taking orders yesterday, and I didn’t get my order in.

3.14 Bakery in White Center on 16th makes great pie!

Costco had some tasty looking ones yesterday. I also saw a table full at Salvadorean Bakery (17th & Roxbury).

Shoofly did (does) have apple pies for walk-in customers. My daughter and I were having a little day out together, and stopped in to get a slice of pie after lunch, today. They didn’t have anything in the case except boxed pre-orders with customer names, but also a variety (pumpkin, apple, shoofly, pecan…) available to sell. Picked up an apple and a shoofly (dark chocolate pecan was sold out. darn!) to share tomorrow afternoon.

I have a serious problem with the Salted Carmel apple pie by Whidbey Pies, sold at Met Market. It’s scary good.

As noted in the Holiday Guide – Shoofly has also said it will open tomorrow at 10 am (Thanksgiving Day) to sell pies baked extra beyond what they have sold by pre-order.

Thanks – we happened to be driving by right at 10 this morning and noticed there was a line out the door (but not too far out the door). Thriftway (open until 6 tonight) also had more than a few Shoofly-made pies in stock last night – we are going to try apple-cranberry crumble. Happy Thanksgiving to all! – Tracy
