cjboffoliParticipantDoes anyone know of any photo booths in West Seattle? I’m talking about the kind that produce the four frame, black and white strip.

CarsonParticipantI also know that an older version of ACDSee had a “4-up” feature that would make them for you, but you needed to print and cut. It even made the little film notches if you wanted them.

LindseyParticipantOoh, please please let me know when/if you find any. Finding photo booths is a little hobby of mine. I’d like to make a map of all the photo booths in Seattle!

cjboffoliParticipantThanks all. I’m doing a piece for the June issue of Seattle Magazine and they want my contributor photo to be in the form of an old-timey photo booth portrait. So I’ve got to scramble and get this done by Monday. Thanks again for the help.

pigeonmomParticipantPhoto booths now remind me of the movie Amelie. :)

AimParticipantThere used to be one inside the Broadway Market on Cap Hill – on the inside, as you go into Bartell’s on the bottom level near the elevator. It may or may not still be there, but is worth a shot.

miwsParticipantNot West Seattle, but I believe Archie McPhee had one when they were located in Ballard. Don’t know if it followed them to Wallingford.
Also don’t remember if it was one of the standard four-up on plain photo paper, or one that did photos with decorative borders, or stickers and such.

Garden_nymphMemberThere is one at the Seattle Science Center and the Woodland Park Zoo,and I think there used to be one at the Space Needle too.

KevinParticipantGoogle is your friend. Using the phrase photo booth Seattle brings up some real good results, the best of which is http://www.photobooth.net
.
Using their search function for Washington shows about a dozen or so in the Seattle area.
.
Interestingly enough, there are also one or more photo booth rental companies in Seattle.

hammyMemberThe Seattle Center has several including one hidden away in the annex in the fun forest (where the mini golf is located).
Yes they rent photo booths now for parties esp. weddings.
Macys at Southcenter used to have one in the teen area but I think it was color photos.

SueParticipantOne of my favorite childhood memories is my dad trying to get photos of the 4 of us in one of them, but trying to get us all on the same strip individually. We were probably 3, 5, 6 and 7 at the time. So he would toss one of us in the booth on the stool, have it snap, grab the kid, toss them out and exchange for a new one. We all looked so disheveled in our photos fron the insanity of trying to do it this way, but he was successful. I haven’t seen these photos in years, but it always makes me laugh.

GAnativeParticipantMy kids have recently discovered Archie McPhee’s and they do have a photo booth.

austinMemberThey’ve had a photo booth since they were on fremont ave! If it’s the same one I’m remembering, I took photos in that nearly 20 years ago. I haven’t been to mcphee in a while so I can’t be sure.
