TanDLParticipantAnd by the way, if Hillary or Chelsea decide to run in the future, they won’t need Bill to “set the table for them.” They are fully capable of running without Bill’s backing.

kootchmanMemberGuess you missed the Piers Morgan interview wit zClinton eh JaN? Of course you get you information as second hand as I do…. The most open “secret” in Democratic politics is Clinton has expressed dismay that Obama dismantled the DLC.. the majority coalition that was the inheritance he wanted to pass along. Sure they are TanDL.. I agree, but the Big Dawg connects to the base Hilary does not. She does not pull or poll with Blue Dogs… the very ones that are leaving Obama and have made this a close race. She has done a good job as Sec of State … a lot to answer for for being in the tank for Wall Street, but hell, even todays devotees give Obama a pass .. DIms don’t connect the dots very well. He can’t be seen overtly putting a torpedo in the side of a listing, barely underway sitting Democrat. He knows, that four more years of the Messiah would kill off the Democratic franchise in 2016. Hee’s what Fox will report om…they will point out we are going past 16 trillion in deficits… and Friday as the convention is winding down. the jobs report comes out. we will also so no growth in the GDP.. they will pont out Bill had and average of 5.4 per cent .. Obama 9 per cent. GDP growth, 3.9 per cent, Obama? .7 per cent. You are the only person that denies the animus between Obama and Clinton JaN… you and Chris Matthews… even Maddow commented on it. You can bet if Obama was ahead in the polls and his devotees were still sprinkling his path with flower petals ans swaying to and fro …. the Big Dawg wouldn’t be on that stage.

JoBParticipantkootch..
“the Big Dawg connects to the base Hilary does not”
his base? perhaps not.
but there you go again.. missing 52% of the voters…
I want to take this opportunity to thank the teapublicans for waking them up… ;->

kootchmanMemberThe title of the NY Times bestseller, The Amateur … is a quote taken from Bill Clinton.

This is a friend? when the centerpiece of the Obama campaign is an attack on Bain and Romney?
Prominent Democrats keep undermining President Obama’s central attack on Mitt Romney, in an unusually open show of defiance against the party’s presidential nominee.
On Thursday, former President Bill Clinton become the latest and by far the most prominent Democrat to suggest the strategy of criticizing Mr. Romney’s career in private equity is misguided.
Oooops… construction and manufacturing numbers just released… both dropped just before the convention opening…. deficits hit 16 trillion .. and the jobs reports come out Friday. JOBS, JOBS, JOBS… then deficits… same polls, same results… the number 1 and number 2 voter concerns,

JanSParticipanttell Mr. Boehner and his compatriots…jobs, jobs, jobs…don’t tell us.

kootchmanMemberJoB ya think 52 per cent of your “sisters” think just like you? They don’t. Ya think they will vote on gender only? They won’t. WE know where the election now lies… and so does Obama. Southern Ohio, VA and Florida. if eiher takes all three it’s over and we go to bed early. VA and Ohio… blue collar, non union Reagan Democrats who see a black version of Jimmy Carter in the two, Florida, senior citizens, values voters in Florida. The election os over effectively by 7 PM EST, Nov 2. Two of those are coal states… eh?

you have no idea, Kootch, no idea…go ahead…spout your rhetoric all you want…

DBPMemberYeah, that Facebook gal’s one pretty pissed-off sister. Wonder if she’s doing anything more than b*tching about how awful her life is.
Probably not. In my studies I’ve found that the outrage of people on the Internet is in inverse proportion to their willingness to work constructively to solve problems.
And since we’re on the subject, here’s my definition of “feminist”:
Â
FEMINIST, n. —A person who takes direct action to better the condition of women, somewhere in the world. The greater the help provided, the more genuine the feminism.
Â
By this definition, a Republican man who tutors Somali girls in math and science is a feminist.
A Democratic woman who merely lectures people about how to vote is not.
Any questions?
September 4, 2012 at 10:55 pm #769424
JanSParticipantoh, I’m betting she’s getting the votes out, like a lot of my friends are doing.
DBP…there are many women, like myself, who are totally pissed off, but only do their small part. This woman doesn’t have to show you anything, prove herself to you – nor do any of us.. And how the hell do you know she’s not doing anything besides talking? You’re psychic? Like Kootch?
September 4, 2012 at 10:55 pm #769425
JVMemberSo a soldier who is protecting a school in Afghanistan so little girls can learn to read IS a feminist by that fancy dictionary language ya got there. Just as I’ve always suspected.
In The Left wing dictionary, you have to be a 31-year-old (Sandra Fluke) attending a $40,000+ per year law school, but demanding that we pay for her birth control, and abortions in order to be considered a feminist.
Orwellian.

DBPMember>>So a soldier who is protecting a school in Afghanistan so little girls can learn to read IS a feminist by that fancy dictionary language ya got there. Just as I’ve always suspected. –JV
–Yeah, Juvie. If a soldier guarding a girl’s school in Afghanistan is actually “with the program,” then that soldier IS a feminist. Definitely.
However, if the soldier is merely following orders and would just as soon be dropping bombs as guarding schools, then no.

>>DBP…there are many women, like myself, who are totally pissed off, but only do their small part. –Jan
–Jan, darling . . . you are totally off the hook.
And by that I mean you are off the hook for proving your sincerity to me in any way, because I personally know about your situation, and I know that you do, in fact, do your part to make the world a better place. But this Facebook lady I don’t know from Eve. And, like I say, in my experience, the harder they blow the more hot air they gots in ’em — and that includes both liberals and conservatives — so I’m not taking anything on faith.
>>This woman doesn’t have to show you anything, prove herself to you.
–Oh yes she does. Otherwise, she’s just another elite liberal blowhard as far as I’m concerned.
September 5, 2012 at 12:21 am #769427
JanSParticipanthey…DBP..here’s a thought…if you want to know what she’s doing…ASK HER…don’t ask me, and don’t make assumptions before you do..off the hook? No one has to prove anything to the likes of David Preston…but…go to the source…you know how to use the internet…and stop being condescending…
September 5, 2012 at 2:40 am #769428
kootchmanMemberI guess then I am a feminist… as most republican are. we are the fathers of daughters who we send to best possible education centers we can. We protect and make secure the women in our lives with the greatest of care. We teach and tutor. We coach and mentor. We watch over them more than they want, and more than they suspect. we teach them how to fix flat tires.. how to shoot guns to protect themselves..how to balance checkbooks, how to invest, read a balance sheet, the difference between self reliance and dependency…Yep, most republican men are damn good feminists.
September 5, 2012 at 3:09 am #769429
JanSParticipantyou don’t have a corner on that…
September 5, 2012 at 3:11 am #769430
JanSParticipanthmmm…feminists…like Todd Akin, or the esteemed Repub from ND, who once voted to throw women who had abortions in jail. That kind of feminist?
September 5, 2012 at 5:19 am #769431
kootchmanMemberNor do Democrats..
September 5, 2012 at 5:48 am #769432
JanSParticipantyour arguments are getting more and more hollow…tit for tat, tit for tat…
September 6, 2012 at 5:02 am #769433
kootchmanMemberRepublicans are the greatest feminists in the world. I will guess our daughters will be kicking ass in the boardrooms forming the core of the 21st century economy. It’s only a guess.
September 6, 2012 at 1:27 pm #769434
JoBParticipantkootch..
I would like you to ponder this…
when you woo a woman you tell her what you think she wants to hear and you present the side of yourself you think she wants to see even if that side of yourself is only the person you think you should be not the one you are.
Have you ever wondered if the women you pursue are being as forthcoming as you?
Expecting that women are going to vote against their best interests just because they say yes dear so sweetly might not be a great bet.
I just love it when a man proceeds to tell women what women want…
like when your fellow teapublicans decided women didn’t need a seat in the room when they discussed access to birth control … because this is a theological matter
those sweet little smiles hide spines of steel kootch…
especially when you threaten the futures of their daughters and granddaughters and …
it’s a simple fact that women can’t kick ass in the boardroom unless they can effectively plan their own pregnancies.
Now.. if republican men are going to suddenly embrace abstinence .. even within marriage..
LOL.. not so likely, huh kootch. so much for those possibilities …

TanDLParticipantKootchman writes in post #54: “and the jobs reports come out Friday. JOBS, JOBS, JOBS… then deficits… same polls, same results… the number 1 and number 2 voter concerns”
I’m happy to report some good news today: “Wall Street got another boost from payrolls processor Automatic Data Processing, which reported that employers added more private sector jobs than expected in August.
… private sector added 201,000 jobs last month, versus economists’ expectations of 140,000 new jobs. August’s figure was the highest since March, when the economy’s job creating engine was moving at a faster pace before dropping into lower gear in the summer.
Another report showed the number of Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits fell last week to its lowest level in a month, also an upbeat signal for a labor market that has struggled to create enough jobs.”

–Here’s another thought, Jan . . .
Don’t quote someone else’s outrageous, unsupported claim and then, when I call bullshit, tell ME to go look it up. You make the outrageous claim, you provide the supporting evidence. That’s the way it works. Rhetoric 101
Oh, and also . . . don’t EVER make allusions to the “War on Women” again –unless you’re prepared for a barrage of withering criticism.
Oops. That’s two thoughts, isn’t it?
September 6, 2012 at 3:49 pm #769437
JanSParticipantwow…condescending again, aren’t you…and, for the record…I quoted the woman…I don’t have to go ask her for an effing interview or what the hell she does in her life…now go ahead, put up some cute picture, and be more condescending…and get outside in the sun…
September 6, 2012 at 3:51 pm #769438
TanDLParticipantWar on women, war on women, war on women. OK, hit me with that withering barrage. :)
