Seeking an estate attorney for review/revision of a fairly simple Estate Package (will, DPOAs, Health Care Directive). I have used an attorney in Ballard for years. He recently retired and I want to establish a relationship with someone in W. Seattle. I’ve reviewed the web-listings. I’m wanting personal recommendations based on excellent experiences. Thank you.

    Hi West Seattle,

I wanted to share a GoFundMe link for someone you may know. Jim Knott owns a small painting company called PAINT THE TOWN. You many have seen Jim’s van in the West Seattle area over the years (since 1994). He often drives his white van with a red logo all over West Seattle. He was active in West Seattle Little League in the 2000s, and also a member of two BNI groups in West Seattle. Jim was recently diagnosed with heart failure and had open heart surgery on July 19th. His family has created a fundraiser for Jim and his family as they navigate his recovery from this surgery and wait for heart transplant. Again, this is a real post for a real person. I am a 34-year resident of West Seattle. If you can find it in your heart to give to Jim, please do. If you can share with others that might know Jim and not know that he is having serious health issues, please share. Thank you. https://gofund.me/3b5e8bae

I should have said that on the morning of July 24th, I locked my bike with bike lock, then entered a business in the Admiral Junction, then used key to unlock to ride home via California, Harbor and the Alki bike path. The unlocking that morning was the last time keys were seen. — Late Inning Relief

On Monday, July 24th, I lost a leather case holding four keys. None are irreplaceable, but I would like to get them back if anyone found them on the bike path. (I used one of the keys to lock my bike at the Admiral Junction; I got home and found the keys had gone missing.)

Benn noticing an increase of people walking or jogging in the street or bike paths. Seen the more than a few times on Admiral Way. Have read stories in the past in the Times and there was also a discussion here on the blog as what their reasoning is. I’m certainly not bothered by it, just notice and curious. First question would be who’s liable if there was contact between them and a car-or bike.

We’re in need of garden maintenance at our home in the Arbor Heights/Roxhill area and need it soon. We’ve had a hard time finding anybody good to accomplish some general clean-up and weeding. All of the property is garden and stonework (no grass) and is largely in good shape. We estimate a half to a full day of work needed ASAP. Thanks for referrals and direct responses!

Question: Am I the only one who never received the four, $100 total, Seattle Democracy Vouchers? The Seattle government that authorized those to be sent to voters, which are paid by property taxes and higher rent costs (property tax increases affect rents), have listed several ways of contacting them for information. None work.
