I am a full-time working mother with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. I live in Seattle, in a two income household and I surprisingly live paycheck to paycheck. The level of wealth inequality in our country is disastrous. The cost of childcare, for one child, is more than half of my mortgage. I did not get any paychecks when I “decided” to take 12 weeks of maternity leave to nurture and nurse my infant daughter. I don’t have any extra money to save for my daughter’s future college expenses. We are told that if we work hard our entire lives that we can live the American dream, we can buy a house, we can save for our future, we can have ample time to spend with our families. What a lie. I don’t want my daughter to be in debt before she graduates college and before she has a chance to start a successful career. People are overworked and underpaid. There are many more millions of people who are not even as lucky as I am to have a family, a house, a job and education that was not free.

PP, I still need to make contact, but past experience has left me so traumatized that I’d almost rather have my fingernails pulled out than have to contact CL – especially after the response by FieldSup, which clearly indicates that he/she either did not read the comments, did not understand them, or – more likely, doesn’t give a flying turd and was posting as a diversion. But thanks for the prod, it has to happen sometime…

“Their”, not “there”, and improper use of caps. Education, indeed.
Speaking of hallucination, it’s gut wrenching to see how many working people have once again swallowed the propaganda that drives them to vote against their own interests while supporting a welfare state for the rich. What an ugly country we have become.

You have not mentioned whether the cleaning is for office or house. I mean residential or commercial cleaning. I know a commercial cleaning service , Ergoclean Inc (http://www.ergoclean.ca). Try your luck friend. Do reply your status

This is a person who clearly has no understanding of anything Bernie Sanders ever said. Please try to educate your children with truthful statements and compassion rather than uninformed blithering about a political figure whose ideas you don’t comprehend. Thanks.

If you stick with ComCast, buy your own cable modem and save the $10 a month. A good one can be had for about $100. No need to hand money over to ComCast forever. They have a list of supported models on their web site.

We have had our internet service with Comcast for the past 10+ years. They keep raising our rates and I think we have finally had it with them. The best they can offer us is $49.99/month for 75 MB internet + $10/month cable model rental. We do stream videos, so I am thinking we would need greater than 25 MB speed.

Any recommendations on high speed internet providers in West Seattle?

    Sensitivity studies over time

The climate sensitivity due to CO2 is expressed as the temperature change in °C associated with a doubling of the concentration of carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere ( the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report: from 280 to a concentration of 560 ppmv [ parts per million by volume ] ).

Scientists made numerous estimates of climate sensitivity over the last few decades and have yet to determine the correct value. The figure shows the change in published climate sensitivity measurements over the past 15 years.

I drove to Bellingham the weekend that “enforcement” on left lane camping took place and I didn’t see a single State Trooper pull anyone over. And I saw plenty of violators. Pass or be passed, no camping please!

going up Admiral, I get into the left lane since I am going to be making a left turn at the top of the hill….going down Admiral, I’m in the left lane going to get on the bridge…the right lane is right turn only, and then you block those people because those already in the left lane wont let you in. On the bridge(eastbound) I would only get in the left lane if I was going to go to I-5. I stay in the next lane over, going to Beacon Hill. Then I run into those who did the same thing, but really want into the left lane in front of the others and hold up traffic. Westbound? Right lane all the way…taking an exit at Admiral. And I never wait until the last second to make my move. And I go the speed limit…and if that slows you down because you want to get there as fast as you can, I apologize.

If you mean turning left from Manning onto Avalon, it’s not just difficult, it’s illegal. https://westseattleblog.com/forums-2/topic/offical-word-about-left-on-avalon-by-luna-park/

The only exception to the stay right I have locally is heading down Admiral Hill towards the bridge. A good portion of the time you’ll be stuck in the right lane and no one will let you merge safely to the left to get on the bridge. Trying to make a left at Luna Park? Also difficult and having to make a right, then find somewhere to make a legal U-Turn is just absurd.

” there are these weird signs on the freeways that say “Keep Right Except to Pass” so these people must not know how to read either ;-) ”

Not on I-90, I-5 through town, 520, or 405 there aren’t. You have to get outside the city to see any signs. I agree entirely as my 3-4 highway, two bridge commute each way to/from work is often quite frustrating from this and I keep wishing they would put up signs.

I MAY NOT BE PERFECT “10” BUT I’M A WINNER!

I’ve only been owned by one family. Even though I was “born” in 2003 I have really low mileage (83,000). I’ve had my 65,000 mile check and changed all belts, timing and chain, flushed transmission, tune up, etc. I had a complete brake job last year and a new battery. I also have 4 new tires and just in case, I have a spare in the trunk. I’m a zippy automatic with AC, PS, PB I’ve got pretty grey leather seats, a power sun roof, a fantastic new music system; (alpine deck with bluetooth, mp3, CD), My owner has kept up with all maintenance, I run great and I’m a GREAT DEAL

Although I’ve been lucky not to have been in any moving accidents, I’ve suffered a couple dings and dents . I took pictures of the front right bumper and back passenger rear panel. I’m still a beauty.Listing
