This post is using my husbands user name. I am 66 years old and ever since around 40 most of, no, all of my Doctors have retired (how dare they do that!).
Since then I have not been able to find one single Doctor that in my words is a good old school doctor, you know the ones that care about their patients, listen to their patients, figure out what is ailing them without the first words coming out of their mouths is “well lets try this pill”. My question is, is there any of those Doctors left in this world or are we all reduced to going with their prescribed wonder pills that really don’t do anything but mask the problem? I know there are pills that do cure and are needed but to me the majority don’t.
Please recommend your Doctor if you think they fit what I am looking for.West Seattle/Burien area preferred
    Thank you.

Family group looking for detail-oriented, self-starting, part-time housekeeper in West Seattle who can work 3 – 5 hours mid-day several days per week.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    – Clean three homes occupied by members of a single extended family (don’t worry, you only need to report to one of us)
    – Clean and set-up one AirBnB property each time a guest checks out.

Additional Responsibilities (Depending on your skills, availability, and interests) may include:
    – Running errands,
    – Meeting repair people at any of the properties,
    – Assisting with miscellaneous small projects,
    – or even dog-walking.

This is a new position that can be tailored to the right person. We want this to be a good fit for you and for us. So, there is some flexibility with the schedule and range of responsibilities. What is not flexible is the Airbnb cleaning schedule and tasks:

    1. The applicant must be available between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on days when guests check out (there will only be 1 – 3 guest check-out days per week, and we hope to have this schedule available many days in advance).
    2. You must be good and efficient at overall cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, appliances, etc), changing linens, making beds and making sure that the décor is arranged in a consistent manner for each new guest’s stay (we take great pride in providing an impeccable stay for our guests, so your eye for detail while getting the house set up for each guest will be essential)

This would be a great position for a parent looking to earn income while their kids are in school, a graduate student with mid-day flexibility, or anyone else interested in working for a few hours mid-day.

You must have your own car. The compensation will be competitive, and work-related mileage and other expenses will be reimbursed.

Please contact David at dapap@hotmail.com with a resume or email describing yourself and your qualifications. Feel free to contact me with any questions about the position, too.

From Lisa Herbold: The most recent update for the West Seattle Bridge is that concrete pours are expected next week and the following week. Work is also taking place to replace the overhead traffic signs and the support structures on the West Seattle Bridge.

SDOT will share the reopening date approximately a month before reopening to traffic. Following construction completion, SDOT will test the bridge for strength and resiliency – this test is expected to last about two weeks.

    Translation—-no time soon.

    Hello there!

Do you have experience creating resumes? I’m looking for someone interested in taking the job of creating mine. My goal is to apply to specific jobs that I’ve targeted already; however, I need a good CV, and I’m not really good at it. I know there are several companies online offering the service, but I’d much rather not sending all my personal info through the web. If this is something you are interested in, please get back to me with availability to provide you with further information. I live in WS, so perhaps meeting at a coffee shop or zoom, skype…? Any option would be okay with me.

    Looking forward, thank you!

Good advice, Sue but I’ll add, ran into an old friend of mine last week who is in Property management and she noted they never put signs on buildings anymore b/c of problems with squatters taking over a property so you might want to contact some of the management companies directly to see if they have anything available.
