Yesterday I approached the girl scout cookie booth outside Trader Joe’s and asked for one box of cookies ($6) and handed them a $20 bill. The girl replied to me “I can keep the change?” I was a little taken aback, asking for a $14 tip. I assumed maybe she was young enough to not fully understand how much money that was, and that it was a bit rude to assume she could keep the change without it being offered. I happened to mention this on my Facebook feed about the experience, and a friend said she had the same exact experience at Safeway (don’t know which one). Is this something they’re teaching the girl scouts now? Frankly, it’s off-putting.

Now has gone as far as to pop the tires on the mobile home. Had just spent the past day and a half previous packing up everything and tying it all down to get ready to move making sure all the garbage was picked up so that it would be clean and finally got moved like I was supposed to and thought finally that I could relax and get some sleep. Apparently not because now we have to find new tires which doesn’t make sense because if you want a scone then why would you disable the vehicle sounds really dumb. Really I’ve done nothing to these people where do I go from here I fear for my cat it’s really stressful

Lost / left my fave hat at Jack Block Park. Did you find a brownish straw-style, wide-brimmed hat (in new condition) at the viewpoint at Jack Block Park? Been looking for it and just realized that’s where I left it – under the bench out there. If so, I would be ever so grateful to get it back. Thanks!

I can NOT stress this enough. Do NOT call GW. Their prices are exorbitant, the service is sub quality – the worksmanship has gotten abyssmal. They have a penchant for using service calls to upsell you product, and then (lucky you) apply the cost of the service call to the new (often unneeded) product…. GW used to be a terrific company – but that is no longer the case.

Brennan is a good company – but I know they upsell too. As well as have eternal lead times. My money is on the other thing T-Rex says. Call PSE, they may have some rebates or other promotions that could get you service earlier. FWIW, I like Alpine Specialties, they are former Accurate Heating (of White Center) My experience with them has been quick turnaround, multiple options given with no upsell or pressure.

I’m sure you’ve already gotten lots of great recommendations, but if you haven’t found the right hvac contractor yet, I’d be happy to throw in my two cents. I’ve had a great experience with Awesome AC Installers. They’re really knowledgeable and always go the extra mile to make sure my AC is running smoothly. Plus, their prices are super reasonable and they get the job done fast. If you’re looking for quality service, they’re definitely the way to go. It’s always better to work with professionals than try to do everything yourself. Hope this helps!

I go to West Seattle Vision Clinic in Morgan Junction. I’m pretty sure they do retinal imaging. Some of the scans (that I think are what you’re talking about) are not covered by my VSP insurance & it costs me extra for those so you might want to check on that.

And I definitely agree about Clearview on 35th. I took my elderly mom there about 2 years ago. The ophthalmologist couldn’t have been nicer … until my mom said she didn’t want cataract surgery. After that it was like Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, as he was so condescending & rude. I had an appointment scheduled there later that month & cancelled it. The receptionist didn’t seem surprised when I told her why.

I wonder if their family is baffled that the homeless people they are hating on are acting more adult than they are. Really, why dont you just come knock on our door, ill make us som tea, and you can explain in person like a grown up, why you dislike us so. I didnt even want to park here in the first place. Parking enforcement told us too. But nontheless i havent done anything to you sir so pls, go wash your hands

I’m sorry to hear about your brother’s medical challenges and dental expenses. It’s great that you’ve set up a GoFundMe page to help him out. I hope that your community can come together and provide the support he needs to complete his dental work. It’s always heartwarming to see people coming together to help others in need. Best of luck to you and your brother.

In case you misunderstood the original post for Derek, Derek already has long-term employment. 28 years! The original post by Derek’s sister simply announces a go-fund-me page. FYI our on demand water heater gave up and I asked my plumber buddy if he could fix it and his reply was we don’t try to fix them we just replace them. I looked at some YouTube videos and watched one where the most likely culprit was the thermal limit switches needing to be reset or the water flow sensor was funked up. Tried the dishes first no go. The new water flow part was $40 so I gambled on that and watched the video many times and replaced it myself. Took an hour to do. Using a voltage tester I also learned my circuit breaker box was mislabeled and my water heater is on three double breakers! Always triple check working on powered devices!

My brother Derek Steward has a GO FUND ME PAGE. He has worked as a courtesy clerk at the Admiral Metropolitan Mkt for 28 yrs. A lot of you probably know him. He loves his customers. He has several medical challenges and the current challenge is extensive dental work that’s extremely expensive. Insurance pays only a portion so he needs 30,000 $ to complete the necessary dental work. So we started a Go Fund Me page. If you can help it would greatly appreciated. It’s under Derek Steward. Thank you!
