I had a kid come by last week from them. I pointed to my large “no soliciting” sign on my door. He said he wasn’t soliciting. Then what are you doing here? Please leave now. He didn’t leave. I got angry and said “get the F off my property!” he still didn’t leave. I shut the door. The next day another kid from same company. I just shut the door. A pity these kids could only find this job to do.

Hello. I am looking for massage therapists or other wellness or skin care professionals who are interested in renting treatment room space in West Seattle. I have just opened a Massage and Self Care center on California Avenue.
I have 2 spacious treatment rooms available. One is fully furnished with an electric massage table (Comfort Craft), Hydrocollator, Steam Towel Cabinet, etc. and the other is partially furnished with a portable massage table.

I am also looking for a massage therapist who would like to work with me and take over my client base while I travel for two months during the summer. Right now I am fully booked until October and need to find someone who would like to grow their practice, take on new clients and work with my established clientele while I’m away.
If interested, please contact me at 206-617-3454 or email me at Hawthornemassagesc@gmail.com. Thank you!!!

Looks to me that you and the toddler were bullied out of your rightfully deserved stroll though the neighborhood. Stevens St SW IS a public road. Correct sinage calls it a dead end, but there are no gates, there are no private property signage.

I hate conflict too – but this rudeness and self serving a$$holery has got to stop. Just yesterday, I was at the local grocery and this elderly woman was trying to go opposite the indicated flow of traffic. She was mouthing curses at me, telling me to move. Gesticulating like a chimpanzee. Nope… SHE was in the wrong, I called her out on it (I don’t CARE if you are elderly – that is NO reason to be rude) AND she was the reason there was parking lot gridlock.

No SSTEN, you were completely in the right. Stand your ground. Don’t let someone’s entitled sense of self darken your day. I might just find myself down that way, going for a “walk” looking for the brightly colored house.

    Hello Carmen,

Would you be willing to offer the same $500 per month for someone to come in and handle your mother’s needs but not live on-site?

Was told to leave the dead end road on Schmitz Ave SW as it was allegedly private (I was with a toddler who I was trying to keep away from the busy Charleston street) and I’m confused about the legitimacy of this. There are several houses on the road and no signs saying anything other than that it’s a dead end! We were just going to the end and back to burn toddler energy and the gal in one of the many houses told us it was a private road, but it absolutely seems public. I would understand if we were being obnoxious, loud or in someone’s yard/grass, but we were just going up and down the road and complimenting her uniquely-colored house. I hate conflict, but I hate people who lie and gate-keep public spaces even more. Let a toddler walk around a safe, public space, dang!

Hey there! Just saw your post and wanted to chime in. I’m not sure if West Seattle High School Academics is still accepting donations, but it’s great to see that you’re interested in contributing. It’s never too early to start giving back to your community, even if you’re only 15. As for how to donate, I’m not sure what their process is, but you could try reaching out to the school directly or checking their website for more information. You could also try searching online for any fundraisers or donation drives they may be currently running. Btw, have you heard of solitaire cash reviews ( https://joywallet.com/article/solitaire-cash-review/ )? It’s a way to earn some extra cash, and you could even use your winnings to donate to causes you care about. Anyway, I hope this helps! Keep up the good work and let us know if you find any more information on how to donate.

Hello all! I’m hoping to aquire some supplies for creating collage/mixed media art. If you have any stacks of old magazines, unloved table books, or unwanted art prints, I’d love to come and pick them up. I’m looking for magazines known for their great images, (Nat Geo, Vogue, Travel + Leisure, etc.) but will take pretty much any media that would otherwise be recycled or is just gathering dust. Willing to negotiate a good price for high-quality items, otherwise hoping to gather some free supplies! Willing to trade some professional organizing work for free, high-quality collections. Thank you!
