NOFX will be at the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma this Saturday & Sunday THIS weekend for their final tour. I have a VIP ticket for both days and can no longer go. I’m hoping to sell at face value ($380).
The ticket is in my email, so I can easily forward that way.

I went by Fitness 19 today to check out space and their “Limited time offer” of $15/mo.
There is a $75 enrollment fee and after 2 months you will also be a charged a $55 Annual fee this is on top of the $15/mo fee. Was told after the special rate the monthly fee will be $19/mo.
But he also said the rate is MOnth to month and Not guaranteed to be $15/mo as they have the right to raise the rate at any time though he also said they have no intention to raise the rate but if that’s the case Why can’t they guarantee In Writing that the rate will not increase for the first year. When someone Says, “They have no intention” that really means nothing, as far as I’m concerned, I like things in writing.
He also said they hope to open somewhere between end of November to Early December.

I’m a West Seattle psychiatrist, advanced Zen practitioner, frmr brain researcher, doctor of Natural Health, and author who created a new approach to mental health and spirituality, called the SatoriWest Method.

Successfully used by many therapists with hundreds of hospitalized psychiatric patients, it’s just as relevant to anyone else, especially if you’re struggling emotionally. I’m doing a 2-day workshop on the Method, Sept 23rd/24th in Federal Way. I would greatly appreciate you sharing this post with anyone you think might need it. The flyer and sign up page is satoriwest.com/retreat/. Thank you so much.

Hey everyone! I have a younger sibling who’s been a part of one for a while now, and it’s been such a fantastic experience for them. Not only do they get to learn the game and improve their skills, but they also make lifelong friends in the process. It’s incredible to see their confidence grow on and off the field.

From a reader: “I found a ring in the parking lot of South Seattle College. The ring has been taken to the lost and found in JMB 135.”

First, where’s a good place to treat a friend to a mani-pedi in West Seattle?

Second, I almost never wear makeup, but I need to for an upcoming occasion. Is there somewhere in West Seattle I could get a consultation about how to do this and what to use, without a hard sell to buy expensive supplies for a one-time event? Other ideas?

    Thanks!

Does anyone know what was happening around the Salty’s area yesterday all day? The loud music carried quite far all day starting around noon and didn’t stop until sometime in the evening.

Not a drop-in spot but… I specialize in chair/corporate massage services I’m 100% locally based and focused to the Greater Puget Sound area. I can personally do the chair and clothed table massage or I can organize a team of mobile, local LMTs to take care of your group.

Note: corporate and chair massage is a distinct ‘format’ from traditional ‘table’ massage therapy. Both involved the same education base, WA state license and other particulars.

Hi! Sorry to say, I haven’t seen any this year so far, and we’ve been on site since the moment the festival opened. No chiropractors on the list. I’ll update if we see anyone!

Greetings from Tilden School in West Seattle!

My name is Dr. Jorge Olaf Nelson and I am truly honored to have recently been selected to lead Tilden as the new Head of School there. After living and leading U.S.-accredited K-12 international schools overseas for more than three decades, it is lovely to be back home and leading such an amazing school as Tilden. Though I am new to West Seattle, I am blessed to be a dyed-in-the-wool Washingtonian – born and raised here – and I call the PNW my home.

Please stop by for a coffee and conversation. I welcome the opportunity to get to know the greater West Seattle community and share thoughts about The Future of Learning. Call Tilden at 206-938-4628 for an appointment to chat. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration and support of Tilden School and learning in West Seattle.

    Warmly,

    Jorge

So, I was browsing some old threads and came across this gem from a couple of years ago. Isn’t it amazing how time flies? It got me thinking about how tight-knit this community really is. The tale of the found and claimed passport is a great testament to the caring nature of our residents.

I came across your post about the Marketing Specialist position at MER, and I have to say, it sounds like a fantastic opportunity. Managing all marketing outreach strategies for Global Diving and spearheading internal and external branded initiatives sounds like a dynamic role where creativity and organizational skills are key.
I also wanted to share a helpful tool from https://www.smm-world.com/ that you might find useful in managing your social media accounts. It’s a great resource for boosting engagement and optimizing your social media presence.

Today while on my daily walks around the Delridge playing fields which is under a remodel ,I noticed a mechanical pulling device attached to one of the flood light poles and it had a concrete block suspended .

The metal electrical junction box was therefore exposed . I also noticed a few other junction boxes exposed. Spoke to the general contractor whom removed device . Called Seattle parks . checked the location tonight so far the nothing has been done to stop someone from opening electrical covers and stealing cables

We’re looking for an experienced cook to run our weekly neighborhood cookouts. This is a great gig for someone looking to supplement their work schedule and manage a grill for a few hours on Saturday afternoons!

You’ll prep ingredients, set up the outdoor grill and station, run the grill, and then clean up the station once service concludes. Menu will be simple – hamburgers, hot dogs, and a previously prepared side salad. If the attendance is significant enough, we will supply you with a support person.

We anticipate this to be a fun, low key afternoon hangout for the neighborhood, with seating and yard games to encourage folks to gather and enjoy the space together.

Schedule: Saturdays in August and September, approx. 10am-4pm
Pay rate: $20-22/hr, based on experience

Interested? Send us an email to team@highlandparkcornerstore.com

We tore up our back patio and have about four tons of concrete rubble for anyone who may want some. We are getting it hauled away July 12-15th, so feel free to pickup anytime before.

Pieces measure 2 inches to 2 feet. Can be used for various projects or as filler. About 25% of it has thin rebar wire embedded in it.

We live in North Admiral. We have a wheelbarrow onsite, but our patio is down a few steps from the garage/driveway. Post a reply and I’ll email you my address.

You might benefit from a shared house situation to hopefully find reasonable rent and a way to build some rental history. If where you land doesn’t have garden space there are several P-Patch gardens in WS.

I had to replace all four wheels on my BMW due to hitting the hole in the on-ramp to highway 99 northbound. I tried to recover the cost from WSDOT but they seem to have a loophole that allows them to not be responsible. I am looking to collect information from others to see if other cars were damaged and when.
Also: Did anyone report this to WSDOT? And when

Hummingbirds and their feeders fluctuate wildly from time to time and season to season, so don’t panic if they disappear for awhile. When needed, they will remember where they’ve found food before and will come looking. You are correct that the Anna’s here are pretty territorial, so it’s possible that you may have young immature hummingbirds visiting and enjoying your hospitality. May also be a Mom with a kid or two tagging along. Immature birds can behave differently than adults. If you don’t already know this; they can be distinguished from adults primarily by their necks (females) and heads (males). Young males might start to get their iridescent head feathers, so he might look a little blotchy – but will not yet have the red / magenta head feathers that create a full hood on an adult male. Immature birds look very similar to adult females. The primary difference is that this time of year, they will not have the brilliant red/magenta gorget (throat) feathers that an adult female has. Of course both sex’s iridescent feathers can appear black in the right light – but markings will still be petty obvious. If you are (or anyone else) using a feeder this time of year, I trust it is not left in the sun, and that it gets cleaned every couple days – to prevent bacteria from growing that can make birds ill. Sugar+moisture+heat = growth acceleration.
    Happy Hummer viewing!

Hello – I want to have a sale his coming weekend or next, have experience holding them – but don’t have enough stuff to have a decent sale / drive traffic. I have a potential place to have it, but if you have an actual garage or yard to set it up – might be better. If you have interest – Contact AJ at sostuff@earthlink.net
