Your primary job duties will include:
-Perform injections: vaccinations, B-12, allergy shots
-Update WA state vaccine registry
-Phlebotomy
-Prepare and stock exam rooms
-Lab/supply ordering
-Submit medication prior authorizations
-Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
-Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers
-Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
-Perform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
-You will also help keep our work areas clean and organized, as well as ensure our office provides a welcoming environment for our patients.
-Assist providers in care coordination as needed: calling pharmacy/healthcare facilities, completing and faxing orders
-Closing duties, including wiping down treatment rooms, emptying trash, floorsCertified MA Requirements and Qualifications
-High school diploma
-Proficient in the English language
-Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
-Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire. (Preferred, willing train the right applicant for MA clinical endorsement)
-Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
-Excellent organizational and time management skills
-Phlebotomy certification (if not certified MA)
-Computer proficiencyStarting:
Wage: $24-29 per hour, to start, or negotiable based on experience
Hours: 32-40 hours, 8:30-5:30pm 3-4 days weekly, with occasional Saturday hours 8:30-2:30pm

Thank you to those who mentioned and stood up for me in the story about Luna Park, my home for 35 years.(The story says comment time is closed, so I couldn’t comment there) I want to make sure that everyone knows that it was a bummer of a manager I dealt with for months that “let me go”, because he didn’t like my schedule and wanted to give my shift to someone else, not the actual business owner… the owner didn’t know it happened and he is a wonderful person and longtime friend. He totally offered the job back, but I declined, as I did not want to work for that manager. Also, I love Luna, and support the owner in the sale, and I’m really hoping someone that plans to keep it Luna, and bring it back to it’s former glory is the purchaser. Please don’t turn it into something else. Luna is an icon of WS and all of Seattle. It’s a great opportunity for someone! (Ps, no, I’m not going to buy it… ;) ) Although I work 6 days a week (Sunday mornings at Alpine Diner in White Center if you want to come see me) and M-F at another full time job, I’m willing to assist and do some consulting with the new owners if they would like. I want Luna to be there for everyone and their kids and grandkids etc! I love that I watched the lil’s grow up coming in, and then hiring them! So fun. It feels a little early in the year for this rant, but here we are. There seems to be one type of tree that’s already losing its leaves – they’re collecting on the sidewalks, and of course with yesterday’s rain they’re now wet and slippery. I wish business owners on California would be more mindful of the risk this poses to their neighbors – or, if care for others doesn’t motivate them, the liability it exposes them to if someone falls and is injured.
Whether you’re starting a new compost pile or trying to rejuvenate an existing one, you need red wiggler worms. Why? Because they eat your kitchen scraps and yard waste creating wonderful soil.
Living soil has beneficial microorganisms. I sell a 32 oz takeout container full of red wiggler worms packed in mature compost to get you started. The compost was made with mushroom mycelium and worms love it!
$20 gets you worms and the compost starter. West Seattle or Ravenna pickup.

Established in 2020 as a pop-up outlet, the location has exceeded expectations. Located in the same building as the original sew shop where the strap cap and other select products have been made since 1993. Remodeled in 2023, it is now larger and ready to transform into a fully operating second retail store!
Job Duties:

Home in West Seattle looking for help taming an unruly jungle of a yard. When we purchased our home we did not know what was going on with our yard, but now that we have gotten to a summer we realize we need help to tame it! This job would include lots of weeding, leveling of an uneven dirt yard, and potentially building a retaining wall dependent on your experience. Our preference is to avoid using corporations or services UNLESS they are truly locally owned and operated as some of the “franchise” services do not pay their workers well.
