Heard similar explosion 2:30ish Sunday July 13. I was out of town week earlier so I missed the one you referred too. But weird it was the same time and day of week. Seemed like it came from Westwood Village. Really sounded and felt like something bigger than you could do with large fireworks, even with a garbage can or dumpster.

Also the goons that do that usually do several and it’s late but not that late when they set them off.

We have gone to Efesis three times since they reopened.
A few new dishes on the menu but all our favorites are still there.
We loved the kabobs and the hummus.
The back patio is open and has great views of the Olympic mountains.
    Highly recommended!

We run an estate liquidation business which includes a large ebay store. We get a steady stream of new stock in consistently and, we process it through different sales channels (the main one being eBay, but we also do direct online auctions and FB Marketplace)

We are looking for someone to come in and be our point person for getting our inventory online. This includes:

    -creating ebay listings
    -creating local auction listings
-posting things on FB marketplace (and managing that store)

We are also looking to this person to help us up our social media game including:

    -directing and editing short videos
    -regular social posting
    -increasing our overall followers

You need to be good on computers and fluent in social media as well as diligent and self-directed as you will often be working unsupervised. Also, an interest in and knowledge of used items will help.

Hours are flexible and I’m looking for someone 20 hours per week (though this could be more in the short-term…we have a tremendous backlog at the moment). We will train you.

In addition to the listing role, there are many different parts to our business and there’s scope to be involved in all of them for the right person, including helping run estate sales, packing and moving clients, and clearing out houses. But our biggest need is someone to focus on the listing.

Our warehouse is conveniently located in SODO, just across the bridge. Pay is $20.70/hour plus 3% retirement account matching.

Reply with your past experience and why you think you’d be a good fit for this job.

***UPDATE: THIS KEY IS NOW AT POLICE STATION, SW Precinct, 2309 SW Webster, right next to the West Seattle Home Depot. Today, 7/9/25, my husband took it to their lost and found and gave it to the desk officer, who said folks often do look for their keys there.***

    Hello West Seattle,
Found Key — ***Updated location where found.***
While out walking our dog Friday night July 4, my husband found a car key on the road/sidewalk in the vicinity of 39th Ave SW and SW Kenyon St. The car key was on a ring with a leather emblem hanging off it, in the shape of an identifiable insect. If you recently lost your car key in that area, please reach out. I’m not in Seattle right now, but I will get him the message – he has the key, in Gatewood, West Seattle. For verifiability and security purposes, first describe accurately the make of the car key as well as the leather insect. Thanks.

    About Caffe Ladro:
Now a Seattle coffee institution, Caffe Ladro opened our first location on Upper Queen Anne in 1994. People ask about the company name origin. Caffe Ladro is Italian for coffee thief. Yes. The same morons who set off fireworks bombs are combining them to make even bigger bombs. Often, they put them in garbage cans, which then creates the possibility of shrapnel. As if fireworks weren’t bad/dangerous enough, we are providing the public with abundant bomb-making materials. What could go wrong?

So I didn’t think to look at what time it was (no idea why I didn’t) but yes in the middle of the night I was just sitting doing whatever on my phone and almost jumped out of my chair when I heard a massive BANG. It sounded like it was right outside my window and, like you said, it was definitely not a firework, a blown transformer, gunshot etc. it was LOUD, and jarring. But the thing is, I live in downtown at 7th and Cherry st… It didn’t necessarily shake my room tho, so maybe it was closer to where you’re at then where I’m at. But I absolutely heard it, 2AM sounds about right even though I didn’t look at the clock. Also never heard any sirens afterwards which I thought was weird.

Small black fanny pack purse was found on Alki Beach early this morning 7/2. It contains debit cards and an ID for Maria T Fernandes.
For safe keeping until the owner is found, I am bringing this purse into my apartment so nobody steals this person’s ID or debit cards.
I did not find any contact information for this person inside of the bag so I have no way of reaching out to them. Hopefully somebody will see this and reach out to me.
I live on the 2400 block of Alki, between 54th and 55th Aves and will be home all week so I can hand off the purse to its owner at any time.
Please email Brittany at Brittany.l.rios.51@gmail.com if this bag belongs to you.

My kids were with my parents on the beach between 54th and 55th (or thereabouts) when my 7 year old kid misplaced her purple eyeglasses glasses (speckled with a few other colors). They changed into their bathing suits in the car, so they could have been anywhere between the businesses along the street and the water.
Hopefully they were scooped up safely!
