While I agree AllStar has its short comings I think it offers pretty good value… I’m paying about $40/month. They have an indoor pool, good weight equipment, just bought brand new cardio machines, and offer a variety of “free” spin, yoga and kick boxing classes. I used to belong to Pro Club in Bellevue and while everything there is top notch it cost three times as much.
Granted I don’t know much about pools and haven’t been swimming long but the temp feels very comfortable if not a bit on the warm side. I sometimes swim at Mercer Island and their pool is way too warm… I’m sweating before I even get in.
The lifeguards do concern me, but that is managements fault. The lifeguards need to be watching the pool and not doing maintenance chores.
