emily, I saw on the Dog Whisperer to tire your dog out before taking them to the dog park. It was specific to dogs with these issues. Sounds counterintuitive but I bet it would help for those first few times. Also, don’t go at the peak times: Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Try to go first at more of an off time. You could walk with your dog around the loop first too before entering the main dog area. Good luck!
