Well Ed Conard might not have a lot of respect for the working class, but hasn’t globalization been a good thing? The U.S. has retained the high skill/high earning jobs while exporting the low skill/low wage jobs to other countries. These other countries, meanwhile, have seen poverty decrease and the gap between rich and poor decrease as a result of economic globalization.

Seems to me that globalization has produced a lot more winners than losers. Do we really think either the U.S. or China would be better off if Transformer toys and sneakers were manufactured in the U.S?
