Raising the minimum wage would get my vote, but the devil is in the details. Raising it for the city of Seattle alone, or in one giant bite to $15/hour (let alone $18/hour as in Skeeter’s original post)and I am less enthusiastic. If we go that route, I think incremental annual increases until the country or state reaches $15/hour territory makes more sense. That would also be easier for businesses to plan for and absorb than a single huge jump.
