I believe so, but too tired to look it up. One can deduct money, stuff like clothes, books, etc. to places like Goodwill, stuff like art, jewelry, etc. to non-profits, in-kind work like the cost of supplies for printing posters for free and mileage for charitable activities, but not hours spent volunteering. However, the non-profit may track those hours and use them in grant requests, etc.
So the hundreds of hours this heathen spent volunteering at non-profits goes uncounted in kootch’s ‘proof’.
