We all choose different ways to help our fellow man… you chose a dinner.
I will admit that the pinch every penny to make sure it goes as far as it possibly can old hippy in me cringed at the inclusion of a caterer into your mix before i reminded myself that I will be enjoying a catered Thanksgiving dinner myself this year… without guilt.
It’s not the way i would have used that money.. but it is your choice and the way you have publicized this dinner brings awareness that far outweighs the luxury you are bringing to the occasion.
But i do hope whoever is planning your dinner is aware of the food related digestive issues and also of the lack of safe storage for leftovers…
if you have the funds you might want to consider bringing recyclable leftover containers so that individual campers can create their own leftover meal for later.
trust me.. they will get used.
