THE DETENTION LOTTERY

Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association, Global Law Advocates, PLLC, and Casa Latina present an immersive theater production for complex times

Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA) partners with Global Law Advocates, PLLC and Casa Latina to present an interactive theater production designed to educate and empower the community on the U.S. Immigration enforcement system, and Immigrant protections and rights. The Detention Lottery is written by Immigration attorney Margaret O’Donnell of Global Law Advocates, PLLC, and the roles of ICE officers, guards, and judge are performed by Immigration attorneys and immigrants. Audience members will be randomly selected and cast as detainees and family members of detainees, and will be fully immersed in a detention center courtroom proceeding. Following the production, the cast will engage with the audience in a talk-back session to answer questions about the detention process.

Join us for this powerful and timely event at DNDA’s arts space, Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, on Thursday, November 8th, 7:30 PM.
