Ready to say good bye to 2025 and welcome 2026? Join us for a couple great walks in West Seattle on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Different 5 and 10K walks on each day. And hot soup and beverages, and snacks afterward. Start is at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, 3035 California Ave SW, anytime between 3:30 and 6:30 on New Year’s Eve, and 8:30 and 11:30 on New Year’s Day. These events are not competitive. Walk at your own pace. Everyone is welcome. Donations are requested.

The New Year’s Eve walk provides one more look at 2025’s neighborhood decorations and lights. The 10K also walks along Alki with views of downtown and the shipping channel. On New Year’s Day there are great views in all directions. On the 10K route we will also enjoy the spectacular views at Jack Block Park.

This walk is hosted by the Emerald City Wanderers and sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association, America’s Walking Club. St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church again is graciously providing their Community Room for the walk start and finish and socializing afterward.
