“Crossing the Line” author talk
June 10 @ 7:00 pm @ Fauntleroy Church

Fauntleroy Church UCC will host a free talk by Sarah Towle, author of Crossing the Line: Finding America in the Borderlands, on Monday, June 10, at 7 pm in Fellowship Hall (9140 California Ave. SW). She Writes Press will release the book on June 18.

Towle employs history and personal accounts to detail how U.S. immigration policies at the southern border are failing to protect human rights. Filmmaker Ken Burns said of this London-based educator, researcher, writer, and podcaster: “Sarah Towle has obliterated today’s dead-end arguments about immigration and transformed them into riveting, human stories.”

Alki United Church of Christ is co-sponsoring this event with the Immigration Task Force at Fauntleroy UCC Church.
