Actually the bells have nothing to do with tomorrow’s WSB-sponsored West Seattle Community Garage Sale Day wswllicon3.png(9 am-3 pm, get your map here!), but Bells of the Sound performs in West Seattle tonight, and with West Seattleites in their rank, we thought you’d like to see what they’re all about (this clip’s on the wild side) – 7:30 tonight at Tibbetts Church in The Junction. Meantime, tomorrow’s also the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive (PLEASE put a bag out before you go garage-saling – it’ll be picked up right at your mailbox/door!) and the Gateway cleanup followup – MUCH more going on, totaling more than 40 events in the full West Seattle Weekend Lineup, brought to you by Skylark Cafe and Club:

FRIDAY NIGHT: West Seattle High School proudly presents Merrily We Roll Along by Stephen Sondheim: Sondheim’s musical adaptation of the Kaufman and Hart play transforms the story of three successful people looking back on their lost friendship. Frank, Mary, and Charley grew up to realize their dreams and goals, but may have paid a greater price than they anticipated. Frank’s anguished question — “Why?” — begins the journey backwards in time, recalling rivalries, jealousies, triumphs, failures, and loves both unrequited and reciprocal, as the three seek to discover how they got from “there” to “here.” Merrily We Roll Along tells a masterful tale of three remarkable people reflecting on years of aspiration and reality, and dreams both fulfilled and lost. The show continues tonight at 7:30 PM in the WSHS theatre at 3000 California SW. It also runs May 9th at 7:30 PM. May 14th at 8PM and May 15, 16th at 7:30. Doors open 1/2 hour earlier.
