WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Stolen Silverado

The report and photo were sent by Kilana, who says this happened between (updated) 1:30-5:30 this morning:

My burgundy Chevy Silverado was stolen from the Trenton & Fauntleroy area. It was last seen heading toward 45th, possibly near 46th.

License Plate: C77519Z

If you live near Trenton & Fauntleroy, Trenton & 45th, or 46th, and have security cameras, please check your footage for any sightings of this truck. Even a small piece of information could help.

A police report has already been filed.

This black Chevy pickup truck was dumped in the middle of the street at the location where the other truck was stolen from. The police responded, so there should be a police report available.

Thanks everyone for keeping an eye out! after speaking with some neighbors, looks like it was between about 3:30am and 5am. any lead is helpful!

If we had security cameras, police might have been able to see what happened and identify the perpetrator(s) & get them off of our streets. The authorities might also be able to identify the thieves who stole a vehicle and dumped another in the article above. Cameras are our best (only?) hope of dealing with rampant crime on our streets. There may be other long-term remedies but in the short term, cameras can keep us safer. And if you’re worried about your “privacy,” don’t do anything illegal or embarrassing when you’re out in public.
