SEEN OVER WEST SEATTLE: Seahawks flyover, before the victory

5:40 PM: Even if you didn’t see the flyover before the Seahawks game, you might have heard the jets (we did). The team says these were two F-15EX Eagle IIs from the 123rd Fighter Squadron of the Oregon Air National Guard.

Thanks to Steven Rice for the two photos above, and Jerry Simmons for this one:

The squadron is based in the Portland area.

7:01 PM: The Seahawks won (lots of fireworks as a result) and are headed to the Super Bowl, February 8 vs. the New England Patriots.

Those new F-15EXs are amazing and will keep the F-15 program running for decades.

That’s what my husband has being saying for decades.

Yes the two Air Force planes flew directly over my house in upper gatewood just as the National anthem was being performed.  Go Hawks!!

Would rather have healthcare and homeless shelters or more libraries than spend a fortune on this waste of polluting jet fuel and noise.

That’s not how the training budget works.

It’s because of the F15’s, and (most) all other US war apparatus that we have health care, homeless shelters and library programs. There are places to live in the world that you wouldn’t have to deal with fly-overs or the Blue Angels, but the quality of life and your freedom to speak against your government will likely be greatly affected.  🇺🇸

But most Americans don’t have health care or homeless shelters.  The libraries were doing rolling closures due to budget issues.  Want to hear more about whatever country Sbre lives in, sounds like a nice place!

      Oh for Pete’s sake.

Rest assured that Pete agrees with everything Sbre said.

There’s a great photo of an unrestricted takeoff from the 123rd at PDX earlier this month at: https://www.twz.com/air/this-is-the-greatest-f-15ex-photo-yet
