Dumped on Director Street: Anybody missing these spa chairs?

Last but not least, the oddest photo to cross our virtual desk today. Tom Trulin spotted these “Whale Spa” brand chairs seemingly dumped on SW Director Street in Fauntleroy, near 44th. Whether stolen or unwanted, strange place to dump big items like these. Maybe you have the solution to the mystery.

ADDED SATURDAY: Tom reports they were reported and have been taken away.

It looks like someone paid for a dump run and they never made it to the dump.  If you need to hire someone to take things to the transfer station aka dump have them send /text you a pic of the items inside the dump that way you know they’ve been deposed of properly/legally.

That looks like the work of a contractor. Wonder what senior center or nail salon those massage chairs came out of… Probably the same ones that keep dumping demo refuse on Fairmount Avenue under the Admiral Bridge.

I witnessed these being unloaded from a truck on Saturday morning around 11.  Thought they might have been a delivery so didn’t pay much attention to the truck or the person unloading them.  Pretty bold to be doing this mid-day.

I also saw that truck when I was on my way to Westwood Village, but there were a good amount of people hanging around along Director and The Hall at Fauntleroy, so I to assumed it was “legit.” When they were still there yesterday I did start to wonder…

I was laughed at for suggesting to post this on the WS Blog.  Now I am going to say go to the Find It Fix it app so the city will come pick them up since some bozo decided to use a side street to dump his junk!!!!!

I don’t know who laughed at you but that’s really odd. Anyway, Tom, who sent the photo, is a regular contributor from Fauntleroy, but I would have considered this interesting no matter who sent it. – TR

It certainly is interesting! Its not every day you see special chairs like these being left on the street.

They most likely have serial numbers – so if they haven’t gone through too many owners one might find out from where they came.

We all know they are illegally dumbed to save money.    Sad the direction we’re heading.

These chairs are still there….anyone have any information?

I hope someone has reported to SPU’s illegal dumping hotline!

Sorry, comment time is over.
