UPDATE: Car-on-side crash on 35th SW

10:58 PM: Seattle Fire is sending a “rescue extrication” response to the 7100 block of 35th SW [vicinity map], where a car is reported to have gone sideways after hitting a parked car, trapping the driver. Updates to come.

11:01 PM: The driver is reported to have gotten out of the vehicle, described only as a Jeep, without assistance, so the response is being downsized.

11:35 PM: Went over for a quick photo. No traffic effects; the crash is on the west (southbound) side.

I just drove past this location on my way to work this morning. The picture dosen’t show much of the car that was HIT. It is still parked with it’s front end smashed into a tree and the rear end that looks like it was hit by a semi. Poor car and it’s owner because that thing is totaled. Wea the driver of the car that rolled charged with anything.?

Somebody texted a photo of what you describe, but the “other” car wasn’t in view from our vantage point across 35th last night, so I couldn’t assume. As for whether the sideways driver was cited, I had to focus today on following up on the gunfire incidents so wasn’t able to ask.

Sorry, comment time is over.
