From White Center Now: ‘We’re not in the baseball business, we’re in the fun business’

Or maybe the DubSea Fish Sticks should say they’re in the fin business. Whatever it is, single-game tickets for this season – starting next month – just went on sale, and you might want to get in on it early since half of last year’s Fish Sticks home games sold out! Full story’s on our partner site White Center Now.

When they say “fun”, are the Fish Sticks like the Savannah Bananas baseball team? I’ve seen their advertisements around but haven’t had a chance to go yet.

      Yes.

The savannah bananas since 2023 only play “banana ball” with trick plays, live dancing, and it’s more a cross of a show/game. The fish sticks, while doing some fun events, just play collegiate summer baseball.

What Kyle said, although they typically have one “banana ball” night. This year it looks like it’s: Battered and Fried Baseball Night | July 25, 2025. From weird scoring tweaks to rule-bending chaos, this isn’t your typical baseball game—it’s a completely reimagined experience with twists, laughs, and surprises around every base. With nonstop in-game entertainment, fan contests, and plenty of unexpected moments, this is a night where anything can happen—and probably will.

The Fish Sticks are like Banana Ball in that there is a lot of fun and some audience participation throughout the game. However, the Sticks play traditional baseball like the Mariners, where runs are accumulated throughout the game (versus 1 point per inning) and they play 9 innings.  Not a 2-hour time limit like Banana Ball.
