FYI: Community paint day at new mural

Last Wednesday we reported on the new mural taking shape under the overpass just north of the Luna Park mini-business district. You can contribute to it this afternoon – they’re having a “community paint day” right now until 4 pm and all are welcome to stop by. The official address is 2901 SW Avalon Way.

I couldn’t join but this was a lovely surprise coming home today. Thanks to all who helped with its creation.

This mural is wonderful! What a blast of color in a place where a drab concrete wall stood for 80 years. I would like to understand the artists inspiration a bit better.
