BIZNOTE: Westwood Village McDonald’s temporarily closed

Thanks for the tips that the Westwood Village McDonald’s is temporarily closed. We just went over to verify. The sign on the door doesn’t give a reason for the closure; one tipster says it’s a pipe problem. We’ll check again in a few hours; let us know if you see it reopened sooner.

Oh no… what will we do? 😱

Go to the grocery store next door and get a salad.

I guess we will just have to get our overpriced, gross tasting fast food at another chain with employees that move at a less glacial pace 😂

You jest, but a lot of Westwood Village workers, Rapid Ride/Metro drivers and passengers rely on that place for quick, inexpensive meals.

Theres other options literally feet away…

Not many minimum wage workers can afford a $13 5 Guys burger or a $9 QFC deli sandwich, Mike.

Did you say inexpensive meals? That’s funny! Maybe back in the day when the proportions were of normal size. One could get the #1 Big Mac meal for under $8+ tax and you got at least 10 bites from the sandwich and at least 20 fries. Now it cost twice the price and the proportions have shrunk to mini meals. The Big Mac now is not much bigger than a slider. And the med fry is like why even bother. Especially when they are never fresh and your Big Mac comes with a clump of rat fur embedded under the bottom bun. Y’all ain’t never lied that crew of employees are the slowest bunch ever like they weren’t never told it’s a fast food joint. That McD needs to be swapped out for a Burger King. Boss burger was a nice switch there for a minute til it came under new ownership although these owners are much more courteous the food and shakes just don’t hit the same.

I’d hardly call nearly $12 for a Big Mac,cold fries and  medium sized drink “cheap”.

The same meal (burger, fries, drink) a few doors down at 5 Guys will set you back almost 30 bucks.

My kingdom for 2 all beef patties.

Gotta love Seattle. People who claim to be accepting, non judgmental, equitable….i personally don’t eat at McDonalds but a lot of lower income people do rely on their quick food. You may say there are other options. Yes there are, but lack of education or understanding of nutrition etc plays a part. Sometimes I think Seattle is the most hypocritical place- act like we care until it doesn’t fit our personal beliefs.

      Unfortunately, Mel, your right.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Don’t dare become profitable in Seattle or pay less than top tier wages for low skill labor, that means you’re a “greedy corporation”. I swear this city loves nothing

Wow…you seem angry. I grew up very poor and due to lack of time, resources, and money, we often ate fast food. It has nothing to do with insulting anyone’s intelligence. My parents worked multiple jobs and sometimes had no choice, capacity, or time to think about putting something healthier on the table. And people in America who live in poverty, are more prone to obesity. I’m sorry my comment triggered you but I’m speaking from my experience growing up poor and many many others I know.

Had a BigMac at WW McDonalds two weeks ago and the bun was brown not fresh and tasteless, I don’t know if they had ran out of the regular sesame seed bun or what. It was thee worst BigMac I’ve ever had in my life hands down.  And the owner purposely sets the soda fountain machine so that the cups don’t fill up you lose about an inch of each drink. And the fry bags are not filled the way they should be, especially small fry.

Sorry, comment time is over.
