RECYCLE ROUNDUP: Five days until the spring edition

(WSB file photo)

Another big West Seattle event for de-cluttering is getting close – just five days until this Sunday’s spring edition of the Recycle Roundup that Fauntleroy Church‘s Green Committee presents twice a year. Here is the official list of what you can drop off (and what you can’t) in the church parking lot at 9140 California SW 9 am-3 pm Sunday (April 24th). No fees. If you have questions even after checking the list, it includes contact info you can use to ask the church’s event partner, 1 Green Planet. Otherwise – just show up!

Isn’t there a similar thing to this where you can drop off documents to be shredded?  Anyone know when that is?  I think I saw it previously in the parking lot behind Lee’s Asian Restaurant up in there.

A time or two every year, somebody sponsors a free shredding event. It’s never been regular, however (unlike this event), and we haven’t received any announcements this year.

There is a free shredding event at Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union on Saturday 4/30

I was also going to ask if shredding would be done, too!!  That would be such an awesome service to add  to the event!

Not at this event. It is huge enough as it is and rather amazing that they have been able to do this, as a free-to-the-community service, for all these years. P.S. Looking at the archives, the free shredding event in The Junction has been around Memorial Day.

Thanks to the church for sponsoring this.  And cash donations are appreciated.
