Recyclable electronics? Shreddable docs? Junction event Saturday

(WSB photo from June 2012)
It’s become an annual tradition for West Seattle Windermere and the WS Junction Association to offer a chance for you to recycle unwanted electronics AND get old documents shredded, all at the same time, same place. 10 am-1 pm this Saturday (June 8th) is the time, the 42nd SW parking lot behind Windermere (south of SW Oregon) is the place. P.S. Wondering what recyclables they’ll accept? Here’s the list.

Does anyone know of anyone that will come remove a satellite dish from your roof and take it away?

Do you just collect the stuff to be shredded, and then shred at a later date? Or do you shred it then and there?

Info we have indicates they shred on-site in the truck and you can even watch via a camera – TR

Kae, You might check with Green Guys:

    Phone (206) 941-8299
    Email GreenGuysSeattle@gmail.com

    .

I don’t know if they will remove the dish, but if they are able to haul it away after it’s down, perhaps another company or person can actually remove it. Maybe Green Guys could recommend someone.

Looks like they take ovens/stoves/washer/dryers and computer related electronics… any thoughts on if an auto-drip coffee maker fits in that spectrum? I’ve got two that need to go and I’ve had a hard time figuring out the best place for them since they’re never on the list for these types of events.

    Hi everyone,

Not sure about the coffee makers. The shredding truck is on site. For those concerned, you are more than welcome to watch it go into the truck and get shredded. Otherwise, we’ll have folks on hand to put the documents in their bins and you’re free to go. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Just talked SBK the e-cycle company and they said they can take drip coffee makers.

Sorry, comment time is over.
