West Seattle Veterans Day 2012: Tomorrow’s transit reminders

Since the Veterans Day observance doesn’t mean a day off for everyone, here’s a reminder about tomorrow’s transit schedules:

*Metro – “Reduced weekday” schedule (explained here, route by route)
*Water TaxiNot running
*Sound Transit – Buses are on a regular weekday schedule
*Washington State Ferries – No schedule change, but note the capacity reduction

    What does “Reduced Weekday” mean?

Follow the link and as we note, it will show you, route by route.

Are parking meters on holiday? ie: free parking?

    • WSB November 11, 2012 (10:23 pm)

According to http://seattle.gov, yes. We will have all that stuff in the full morning roundup tomorrow – this was just a note about transit. – TR

Basically, it means if you live in Alki/Admiral area, your last convenient way to get to downtown leaves at 7:30 in the morning.

They lied, the 57 isn’t on a regular schedule. It never came.

This so-called reduced weekday schedule is a little inconvenient for a lot of people still have to work today

Seattle Public Libraries will be open regular hours today, they were closed on the actual holiday, Sunday.

    • WSB November 12, 2012 (8:51 am)

Yup. We mentioned that somewhere yesterday and it’ll be in the daily list that’s almost up. Thank you!

@Jess. agree. 57 goes past my house, and I did not see/hear it at all this am. Also waited outside for it for over 1/2 hour. Metro’s website was wrong in many places where 57 is concerned: holiday schedule, trip planner, and 57 route page.

Inbound travel time this morning from Admiral to Pioneer Square…62 minutes.

it seems that when metro {FIXES] something it gets much worse. the bus stop on brandon is directly on a crosswalk also it totally blocks the street when the buss is at the stop. good thinkin -turkeys. you can not choke a street down to one lane and expect traffic to improve!!!!!!fix it or find annother job not connected with pencils or paper. unless you are selling them bob

Sorry, comment time is over.
