‘Sexpresso’ shows up at West Seattle/White Center coffee stand

Five years after the “sexpresso” trend was the talk of the town, people don’t seem to get steamed up any more over the concept of espresso stands with baristas in lingerie. Nonetheless, it’s noteworthy that one of these stands has turned up here, first one we recall hearing about: At 9435 Delridge Way SW in the South Delridge Triangle, the former Java Joint drive-up stand has just been repainted pink and given the new name Brewlesque Espresso. Noticing this while in the area today, we stopped for a photo; the barista told us the stand has new ownership as of just a few days ago, and that’s who made the change. (As was noted in coverage five years ago, as long as the baristas keep their naughty bits covered up, it’s all perfectly legal.)

We need more coffee stands in Seattle. Good Luck!

  • NFiorentini February 6, 2012 (4:38 pm)

In before the West Seattle Mommy Mafia gets cranking!

(“Won’t somebody think of the children?!?”)

“Sexpresso?” Really??? Was “Caramel Mammary-ato” already taken?

Nothing says “classy” like paying someone minimum wage (plus tips) to make esspresso in their underwear! Let’s hear it for the Job Creators!

I have noticed a few stands that have converted to this name. Perhaps they are buying out stands. I’m not against them, but not really much for them either. The few I have been to, the coffee was marginal at best.

    • WSB February 6, 2012 (5:29 pm)

Coffee – Thanks for mentioning that. I have been trying to track the ownership but nothing is coming up yet via business licenses, Facebook, etc., except for some folks in Yakima back in 2008. Only other “sexpresso”-type stand I have seen in the wider vicinity is “Baristas” at the gas station just northeast of the 1st Avenue South Bridge – can’t miss that one every time we heard south on 4th to catch the bridge. – TR

How much of a scumbag does a person have to be to go to one of these places?

  • islewrite February 6, 2012 (4:52 pm)

I actually like the name. If they could carry the cleverness through in a way that didn’t require women to strip, I’d like it better. Perhaps pics of the old-school classy acts, a la Gypsy Rose Lee and Sally Rand. White Center already has such a rep with the cheesy video storefronts etc…..To clarify, it’s the “brewlesque” that I like. The sign is tacky tho.

    Not really

  • CB February 6, 2012 (5:31 pm)

So hot…. the coffee, of course.

  • Westgirl February 6, 2012 (5:49 pm)

Men working the stands would be a nice change Lol! See ya Starbucks!

  • dervish February 6, 2012 (5:49 pm)

@TR there are 3 just over the Duwamish. 2 on Michigan- One at the Chevron, one at Nate’s Paintball/Surplus. And a 3rd I think on Swift? Back near where Squid and Ink was, iirc.

  • Aaron February 6, 2012 (6:01 pm)

Wait…I thought dressing sexy was degrading women…then it was empowering women…is it back to degrading women again?

  • datamuse February 6, 2012 (6:08 pm)

I heard a rumor that this one is owned by the same people who ran a few similar stands in Everett until the city shut them down.

Dunno if that’s true, but if it is, just contemplate it for a moment.

  • NotMe February 6, 2012 (6:15 pm)

There was a time when people were very upset about those pin ups and today someone is calling them “classy”…. Just goes to show you how times have changes, but still the same! Someone is already throwing out cruel names because they feel above those “scumbags” for even the audacity of getting a coffee from someone in panties and a bra. THAT name caller is a bit of a ‘pot calling the kettle black’ sort of person who lives under a rock.

  • CC February 6, 2012 (6:15 pm)

I don’t take exception to the stands, but most of the guys that go them are so repulsive. The girls can walk around naked for all I care, but the customers should not be out in public. Blech.

  • godofthebasement February 6, 2012 (6:23 pm)

Well I’m disappointed. These comments are not nearly the blogfight I was hoping for when I saw the headline. C’mom people, entertain me! I guess everyone else cares as little about this as I do.

  • Al February 6, 2012 (6:45 pm)

Went by there this past weekend. Several men had their noses plastered to the glass booth, peering in. It was kind of creepy.

  • cj February 6, 2012 (6:51 pm)

Well I guess how far it goes will depend on the barista. If they need money though some will take the extra tips for a little rule breaking on the sly. The next question is how old are these ladies required to be and how far away is the nearest bar? If one of the baristas gets raped will influence of her her “uniform” be a problem when she tries to press charges?

  • Snow Wimp February 6, 2012 (7:04 pm)

Such a great looking building. Wasn’t this on the White Center/Delridge Historic Buildings List?

Hopefully, Sasha Grey will make a promotional appearance at this establishment. Oh so hot. Oh so nice. Ohhhhh…

  • SaraJ February 6, 2012 (7:21 pm)

I’m not going to start any fights, I just hope it fails.

  • Amanda February 6, 2012 (7:31 pm)

The best thing about White Center is it’s level of tolerance. If you don’t want sexy coffee, go to Rozella’s. To each their own!

  • Yes I am a prude, thanks for noticing February 6, 2012 (7:35 pm)

Okay, GOTB, I’ll start the entertainment.
    .

I DO think there are such things as community standards, and while they are always evolving, at some level community standards DO matter.
    .
Girlie coffee stands in the news in recent years have run the gamut from wholesome cut-offs with a halter top, to Hooters-style hot pants, to bikinis, to honeymoon lingerie, to thongs and pasties. Some stands have offered friendly smiles, and, according to news stories, other stands have offered shows that got the baristas arrested.
    .
Will this place be as wholesome and cheerful as a weekend car wash run by high school cheerleaders? Maybe, but I’d be pretty creeped out if the car washers hung up a sign emphasizing “sexy”. Even though they’d probably wash more cars if they did.
    .
So anyway, it depends. Is this a coffee shop or an adult-entertainment business?
    .

  • Bob Loblaw February 6, 2012 (7:42 pm)

    I am that scumbag.

  • mpento February 6, 2012 (7:43 pm)

Cool now I can get a hot coffee after my visit to the library.

  • jiggers February 6, 2012 (7:47 pm)

Prudes..No stripclubs in this city either…: It’s funny how when a man sees a girl in her panties, she’s frightened. But has no problem being seen wearing a g-string anywhere else. Hey get a grip. What do you care about White Center anyways huh?

  • Super Awesome February 6, 2012 (7:51 pm)

Call me a prude, I just don’t think it sounds safe or sanitary to have a half naked person around steamy milk products.

  • AJ February 6, 2012 (7:58 pm)

    @questionable

Just enough to appreciate a hot girl and coffee. Loosen up Taliban Mama:)

  • craig February 6, 2012 (8:04 pm)

I’ll stick with Bird on a Wire when I’m in town. Good coffee overrides some scantily clad girl.

  • Llolaleah February 6, 2012 (8:16 pm)

TR see if you can find the news story about the bikini barista stand in Kenmore…a few years ago a guy in a truck killed a pedestrian trying to take a peek at the girls working in the stand…

  • OP February 6, 2012 (8:24 pm)

Due to the lack of debate over such a NW debatable topic, I’m beginning to think the WS Blog is slipping. ;)

FWIW: I don’t drink coffee, and this won’t get me to start. (I think I said two sacrilegious things in one sentence! lol)

  • Joe the Plumber February 6, 2012 (8:27 pm)

I have noticed That the word “Scumbag” gets thrown around often on this blog. Is it a West Seattle thing? A Northwest thing? Its an ugly word, an extreme word and certainly the enlightened folks around here can do better. And in this case does a patron of an espresso drive thru deserve the title? Just saying.

  • Chuck & Sally's Van Man February 6, 2012 (8:38 pm)

    @Questionable: judgemental much?

  • JoAnne February 6, 2012 (8:52 pm)

    Gross out

  • MB February 6, 2012 (8:59 pm)

I hate this trashy crap. If they were smart they would work at the strip clubs– they’d make more money there. Still trashy , but at least they are inside a building and those who don’t want to look at them aren’t forced to while driving by. I would be thrilled if this place goes under in less than a month. And the location…. I would hate to be half naked anywhere in White Center! With all the creeps that run around there. I get enough problems when I stop there for a Vietnamese sandwich- fully clothed walking with my buff husband. Can’t imagine if I were out in a bikini or lingerie. I envision many police calls to that stand.

  • ILoveWestSeattle February 6, 2012 (9:06 pm)

    “One bump or two?”

  • sam-c February 6, 2012 (9:09 pm)

“Naughty bits” ? Really WSB? I dunno, kinda sounded silly to me.

For drive thru coffee I like the one at w marginal and highland park way. I’m glad it has the goofy name as a warning; it’s really embarrassing to end up at one of those by accident (as another female)

  • Katy February 6, 2012 (9:11 pm)

I just thought it was funny how I drive by on Saturday and it was under construction, and by Sunday morning, there was a lingerie-clad woman working and a few cars. That was speedy.

  • B-Check February 6, 2012 (9:37 pm)

I think these places are tacky and I choose not to support them with my business. But if they are legal and in compliance with local zoning and land use codes, then that’s their right to own/run a tacky business.

Scum bag is a pretty strong statement, it really implies a certain level of sleaziness. That’s why I prefer douche bag, it’s like the universal insult for stupid/thoughtless/sleazy behavior.

Example “Brewlesque Espresso is likely to be highly patronized by douche bags.” So much more eloquent, no?

  • Terry February 6, 2012 (9:51 pm)

You know, you don’t ” have ” to go there. Also, I should assume the same people who can’t live with this are unable to visit Alki beach in the summer?

  • jazzaria February 6, 2012 (9:54 pm)

I am not a native to Seattle, but have lived here for about 5 years now… And I find these stands to be quite ridiculas… We as a society strive to teach our girls self worth, self respect, self esteem… And then we turn around and show them that they are worth no more than $8.00 an hour to let random strangers watch them make coffee in either lingerie, bikinis, or some other stupid costume.. ( I BTW am not a fan of strip clubs either)

I understand that bikinis are worn at any swimming pool or beach… But that is what a bikini is…. Swimwear.. and regardless of the situation a coffee stand is not a beach or a pool..

  • Jim E February 6, 2012 (10:18 pm)

Lets not forget the business improvements that HAVE happened in White Center, that don’t involve any porn shops. The Hung Long Asian Market complex for example. What a great group of community shops.

  • NotMe February 6, 2012 (10:46 pm)

Sorry, but not all bikinis are created equal. I don’t think some are meant for “swimming.” I just think there is a fine line between being a prude and being judgemental – but when you label anyone going near it as being a scumbag, then you have a problem. I wouldn’t actually get my coffee there, not because of any of the pressure from anyone making comments, but I can see more right here on the good ole internet. Besides, the best coffee is at Bakery Nouveau or Hotwire. Why would I get in my car and drive to the end of Delridge or anywhere near White Center for a coffee? As for using sanitation as an argument… have you been to some of the restaurants in the Junction? They aren’t exactly clean!

  • NotMe February 6, 2012 (10:54 pm)

Oh, I should mention… I will get in my car and drive to White Center for a pizza at Proletariat or a bit further to Hey Paisano for a great sandwich. I didn’t mean to suggest I won’t go to WC for everything and anything, just not going to go there so I see a bunch of ugly girls and MAYBE one hottie in their panties to get a coffee.

  • La leche February 6, 2012 (11:04 pm)

    Pour some sugar on me!

  • datamuse February 6, 2012 (11:40 pm)

Can we get a new gimmick? This one is stale.

  • JD February 7, 2012 (6:03 am)

I’ll be visiting daily when they open up. Anything I can do to help these girls out

  • kelly February 7, 2012 (7:05 am)

Very good point, Jim E. I continue to be surprised and delighted by the lack of porn at Hung Long.
    .
I am also surprised that anyone would classify cut offs as “wholesome”, or bikinis as swim wear. I’m sure that just shows how out of touch I am. I don’t get mad about these kind of places anymore–just sad.

  • JoB February 7, 2012 (7:40 am)

    this is easy.
i refuse to patronize this stand!
the fact that i don’t drink coffee will probably guarantee that i keep my word
    .
    i agree with datamuse..
    this is a stale gimmick…
but if it brings more people to White Center
it might be a good thing
    .
    I can see it now..
White Center may have to adopt a cruising ordinance to control the hoards of “boys” hoping for a Janet Jackson moment ;->
    .
    now .. that’s entertainment :)

  • jiggers February 7, 2012 (7:41 am)

  • KBear February 7, 2012 (7:55 am)

At least with no indoor seating, we won’t have to worry about creepy guys READING BOOKS while they sip their coffee. But I heard you get a discount if you show your library card…

  • Meghan February 7, 2012 (8:02 am)

Big deal. If a bunch of fat unhappy-at-home blue collar workers in dirty trucks with Doritos and Subway bags on their dashboards want to pay too much for mediocre coffee to innocently slobber over poor young women wearing less than they would at the beach, so be it. That’s the free market system and it’s perfectly legal. And obviously Delridge is an ideal location for it. And the women will certainly make more money than they would in other low skill jobs. Win/win.

  • Alex February 7, 2012 (8:20 am)

Thus ends any further aspirations towards the gentrification of White Center.

  • Westward Ho February 7, 2012 (8:31 am)

Amen Meghan:It is their God given right as American business people to be as crass and lowest common denominator as they can strive to be in order to make a quick buck. It is the consumer’s right to patronize or not. Exploitation of women is probably not what will be going on with these Hooters Baristas, as they will most likely not have been kidnapped and forced to make cappuccino in a thong. More likely they will have taken the job with their eyes wide open, knowing fully what it is all about. It is the objectification of all women that this represents that is a problem for the community. However, let’s be honest, this is Rat City, Knuckle Junction, Centre Blanche- it isn’t Mayberry: it will survive this.

    Cue the Benny Hill music.

  • Forrealtho February 7, 2012 (8:47 am)

My nephew’s girlfriend works at the one in Georgetown and makes -sometimes- over $1000/week in tips. Yes, it’s everything you all say, except the part where they’re making “minimum” wage. It’s the sex industry, whether you like it or not, with coffee on the side; and those 2 things, separate or together, ALWAYS make money.

  • Gunnar February 7, 2012 (9:08 am)

  • sun*e February 7, 2012 (9:17 am)

    That’s so ‘White Center’!

  • JoAnne February 7, 2012 (9:20 am)

Would you want to see your daughter in this job? Your sister? Mom? Wife or girlfriend?
    .
Why is the exploitation and objectification of women acceptable to so many people, including the so-called “leaders” of this community who grant permits to these places?
    .
This is NOT a good role model for girls. A society that allows young women (or anyone) to be exploited and objectified in this manner is a cold-hearted and brutal one. We have a responsibility to protect the weaker/dumber members of our society.

  • landau February 7, 2012 (9:24 am)

Sorry people but a bikini is not swimwear. They are worn by women who wish to looked at. But some of the same women cry about being “objectified.” Swimwear is a one piece, which is why no competitve swimmers wear bikinis.

  • Angel February 7, 2012 (9:32 am)

    True dat Meghan.

  • Yes I am a prude, thanks for noticing February 7, 2012 (9:39 am)

Kelly – referring to cut-offs as “wholesome” was a relative term – wholesome as compared to thongs and pasties.
    .
    There’s stuff that’s tacky, and then there’s stuff that’s practically adult-entertainment.
    .
Put another way, is this going to be PG, PG-13, R-rated? I’m thinking that X-rated would be shut down pretty quickly, and PG-13 would be tolerated by the community, but the line between the coffee stand’s rights and the community’s rights gets tricky in between.

    Welcome to Everett! ;-)

I’m sure you’ve all read the article on the prostitution ring that was busted with Java Jugs last year. Looks like they’re looking for new territory. They’ve overrun Everett already, there are about 6 or 7 of them there!

  • metrognome February 7, 2012 (11:39 am)

JoAnne, could you get any more condescending toward women (‘weaker, dumber members’)? I suppose anyone who works in, let’s say a dangerous profession such as firefighting, coalmining, gandydancing, is also weaker and dumber because they’ve decided to routinely risk their lives for money?
And anyone who thinks (collge and pro) cheerleaders are wholesome role models needs to actually watch what their husbands are watching on TV on Sundays.

  • Worldcitizen February 7, 2012 (11:44 am)

    @YesIAmAPrude:

I’m more interested in learning what exacttly you were thinking is the difference between R and X rated. When I think of X rated coffee making, My thoughts go to a couple different places, not the least of which is “WOW, making X-Rated coffee seems like an amazing talent”. That being said, I think it (X-Rated coffee stand) woud be shut down pretty quick…just for safety reasons alone. I mean, the agility and coordination needed….

R rated would be fine with me. There would have to be a screen blocking the view of the drive-through window from general traffic/pedestrians I guess. Small price to pay. ;)

  • BlairJ February 7, 2012 (11:44 am)

In my opinion, constitutional rights trump “role model” standards. If a business is not doing anything illegal or against code, regulatory bodies should issue the same permits as it would for other applicants. If the community does not like a particular business, we should allow it to fail.

  • Delridgian February 7, 2012 (12:31 pm)

I wonder if they will server lattes?

  • Lisa February 7, 2012 (12:47 pm)

How come these places never have cute graphics? So cheesy. Name is great, signage is lacking. I think there is still room for some entrepreneur to really make a bikini barista stand that also sells great tasting coffee AND is visually appealing. Right now it seems these places have only one of the three. C’mon Seattle!

  • douglast truth February 7, 2012 (12:59 pm)

As a West Seattle resident, I, for one, will NOT be supporting this place. The last thing I want is a half-naked sleaze serving me coffe. No thanks!

  • douglast truth February 7, 2012 (1:02 pm)

A real dumb sleazy idea! I can only imagine what the owner of this place must be like. I imagine he is the “King of Sleaze”.

  • datamuse February 7, 2012 (1:03 pm)

  • cr February 7, 2012 (1:26 pm)

No one is forcing anyone into taking this job, @JoAnne. They aren’t sex slaves. A bikini isn’t a swimsuit? I’m pretty sure competitive swimmers don’t wear boardshorts @landau. Should all men be wearing speedos to the beach?

  • MB February 7, 2012 (1:32 pm)

Thank you, BlairJ…voice of reason. If you don’t like it, don’t patronize the place, its really that simple. The sweeping moral judgements ever present in the comment section never cease to amaze me. In fact, I may swing by for a coffee just because some of ya’ll irritate me. Cheers!

  • cembad February 7, 2012 (2:06 pm)

    I see a lot of comments but….

    How’s the coffe?

  • NotMe February 7, 2012 (2:26 pm)

That is total bee ess. No one is making 1000 in tips making coffee in her panties and bra. Either you ate making up that load of poo or…(gulp)… She may be doing more than making coffee for that money. And since you are related, you should talk to her. It’s the least you can do.

  • datamuse February 7, 2012 (2:32 pm)

Everyone I know who’s been to one of these places says the coffee is mediocre. Which leads one to believe that the coffee is not the point.

  • biff711 February 7, 2012 (2:39 pm)

even feminist women like being objectified when it suits their financial objectives. can’t have it both ways ladies. if you want equality start with holding up your end of responsibilities that go along with your rights. and stop complaining when your more attractive sisters chose to market their beauty.

  • WestSideD February 7, 2012 (2:40 pm)

    Hey Super Awesome!!

Call me ManShake, I just don’t think it sounds safe or sanitary to have a half naked person around steamy milk products. Well do you think it sounds safe to be fully naked around steamy milk products!! Im sure you know the answer to the “Hot Milk” puzzle….you people need to get over yourselves!!….Bikini’s are for hot women that like to be seen and swimwear is for women that like water sports simple. For those of you that dont like your coffee with a bit of CREAM…you can move to the Middle East and start wearing a Burqa. White Center has come a long way from its old days and any productive business should be welcomed not scorned, and as for you stuck up Alaskan Junction people stay right where you are and sip your coffee with your noses in the air, with your secrect stash of internet porn safe on your Hard Drive.

  • NotMe February 7, 2012 (3:02 pm)

Like I said before, I don’t think sanitation is really an issue when it comes to making coffee here. There are worse issues at a good number of places in the Junction. Ever see the bathrooms at The Corner Pocket? How about the proximity of the bathrooms to the kitchens in a few places? There are sushi joints in our area that are just plain dirty – and you don’t even get the benefit of your food-born bacteria getting seared! They may be a few things, but just because these girls decided to shed some clothing to make and sell coffee doesn’t mean it is unsanitary.

The next thing you know these sexxxpresso stands will be Seattle Public libraries….it’s a slippery slope people!

  • datamuse February 7, 2012 (4:12 pm)

Gosh, biff711, I didn’t know feminism and sex were mutually exclusive. Someone tell Annie Sprinkle she’s been doin’ it wrong.

  • biff711 February 7, 2012 (4:48 pm)

@datamuse – Did I say that sex and feminism were mutually exclusive? I did not.

  • Huindekmi February 7, 2012 (5:32 pm)

    But will they allow dogs?

  • Ohthehorror February 7, 2012 (6:03 pm)

These comments actually ramped up quite nicely. I wonder if the sexy/sleazy (however you judge it) girls ever complain about the smart girls degrading themselves by working 60+ hours per week at Amazon and Microsoft?

  • sophista-tiki February 7, 2012 (6:09 pm)

wow thats alot of comments, heres my crack… I ‘m really looking forward to the letchy skeeze factor hanging around when I try to shop for my vegatables, yay!

  • datamuse February 7, 2012 (7:47 pm)

Just doing my part to get us over 100 comments, biff711. Thanks for playing.
    .
In all seriousness, can someone explain the appeal? This doesn’t make sense to me in the same way that the lack of liquor licenses for strip clubs in this state doesn’t. It just seems so odd, on both counts.

  • JoAnne February 7, 2012 (8:29 pm)

Obviously there are some young women who are tragically naive enough to think they can do a job like this without serious damage to the psyche, the self-esteem, and to any potential healthy relationships with men in the future.
    .
No one said they were being forced, and that wasn’t the point. Again, this type of job is NOT respected by most people in our society; ergo,
    .
    a) by taking such a job, a woman is acting against her own interest (the definition of stupid)
    .
and b) anyone looking out for a woman’s best interests would try to stop her from taking such a job, so we can infer that women in these jobs have no one looking out for their interests (i.e., no one who truly cares about them.)

  • interrobang February 7, 2012 (9:20 pm)

…how did this get so many comments? Seems as though general consensus is pretty logical — don’t like it don’t go there. Ta-da!

Personally, in spite of my being bisexual, I tend to not frequent these places because 1) I don’t like crappy coffee that costs $5 and 2) I’ve noticed a real lack of fun costumes; pasties require pretty much no effort.

I will say this though, as a friend of those who have worked in “adult” area’s — they aren’t stupid, or weak (*Cough, JoAnn Cough*)and they don’t consider themselves as objectifying themselves either. For the most part, the people I know consider jobs like these to be fun. If this is what they want to do, it’s cool by me.

  • The Velvet Bulldog February 7, 2012 (9:35 pm)

If I worked in a place like this, people would pay extra for me to put my clothes back ON.
    .
    Oooooh, now there’s a thought…

  • Tim February 7, 2012 (9:39 pm)

Dubsea Coffee in Greenbridge is far and away the best coffee shop in that part of town. The owners are beautiful people and all of the product is top notch. No gimmicks necessary there.

  • Lisa February 7, 2012 (10:16 pm)

Biff – your post is ridiculous. You don’t seem to understand feminists very well.

  • jiggers February 8, 2012 (7:15 am)

These girls know what they are doing. Trust me.They don’t care what you think.

  • Jason February 8, 2012 (8:38 am)

Wow JoAnne, you’re the patron saint of all the “dumber/weaker” and “tragically naive” females out there! God Bless you! …not! Healthy relationships with men? What does working at a coffee stand have to do with that? Is the self confidence in your own relationship (if you’re in one) THAT LOW that you think that would matter?
    .
Seriously: If you don’t like it, don’t go there!! Tell everyone you’re not going there!! Hooray for you!!
    .
But if you’re going to hate on it, or insult the idea, or the people that work there, I can only assume it’s because of jealously: 1) because you’re not the owner who is going to be profiting from it, “sleazy” or not… and/or 2) because you’re not “qualified” enough to be working there and making the tips from the “sleazy” patrons… You’re angry because it’s quite possible these “poor” girls will be earning more in one shift making coffee in bikinis than you do at your desk job, and to you, that’s just NOT FAIR! “Qualified” I dare write? Yes, I’m sure there is some unwritten, unspoken, and unacknowledged requirement for “looks” to be working there. It’s the owner’s decision to hire the workers, he/she wants what’s best for the business. If the line’s around the corner, something’s working! Welcome to America!

  • Cindy February 8, 2012 (11:21 am)

I totally agree with you Jason. I’ve actually visited this stand and I received some of the best customer service I e ever received from any white center business. And the coffee was awesome! I will go back…

  • datamuse February 8, 2012 (12:48 pm)

JoAnne, that doesn’t square with most women I know who are working in or have worked in adult industries. They’re quite capable of looking out for their own interests and quite a few of them are happily married or in committed relationships. Some of them own businesses (I’d post links but this is a family friendly site).
    .
Do I think shops like these are tacky? Yes I do. Do they make me personally uncomfortable? Yeah, a bit—but so do Salvation Army bell ringers, so there you go.
    .
Still don’t see what the appeal is. But we use sex to sell everything else in this culture, so why not coffee?

  • jiggers February 8, 2012 (1:34 pm)

I’m sure even in the cavewomen days they were selling fruit wearing tiny banana leaves around their fufu’s showing off their sexuality. Nothings changed since the dawn of time. Get over it and move on to something more important please..

Sorry, comment time is over.
