Fauntleroy crash: Close call for 2 drivers, and a shop

In case you passed by and wondered what happened – not a major crash but certainly an unusual sight: In the past half-hour, WSB contributor Katie Meyer checked out this crash outside the pawn shop at Fauntleroy/Edmunds. As the top photo shows, close call for the store. Katie reports neither driver was hurt; too soon to say how they wound up in this side-by-side crash formation. Tow trucks were on the way.

(Disclosure: We have blurred the license plates in the top photo.)

Bad luck for the drivers, but maybe this will draw attention to the poor spelling at the pawn shop.
“Jewelery” has been bothering us on Fauntleroy for weeks.

Funny I never noticed and I drive by there all the time!

I hope the accident didn’t cause any typo’s in their text messages. /Sarcasm.

As long as we’re nitpicking about spelling, etc., “typos” is a plural word and shouldn’t have an apostrophe.

Sorry. Retired English teacher. Can’t help it.

I’m glad no one was hurt. I was waiting at the light eastbound on Edmunds, front row seats to the accident. I had my head turned to my kid in the back, though, so I HEARD it but didn’t see it. I felt bad for driving on but felt I couldn’t be a witness since I only saw the results of the collision. Luckily the car behind me pulled up to help them, perhaps they witnessed it. I did flag down a cop at 35th and Avalon to tell them the accident just happened.

@Been There: What do you mean, “you people?” Kidding, couldn’t help myself ;)

    Glad no one was hurt!

This really is a horrible intersection. I live about 25ft from it. Everyday, all day, I hear people speeding through the intersection. In Janurary, I had to run, very fast, to get out of the way of an SUV who didn”t see me in the crosswalk. And I had the right of way. They were too busy trying to cut infront of the oncoming traffic. Not really sure why this intersection is such a mess, other than drivers clearly not paying attention.
