Mayor McGinn’s inaugural speech now viewable online

That’s one of the photos sent by Mayor Mike McGinn‘s staff via Twitter (@mayormcginn) during the City Hall open house this afternoon, with a caption saying he was working on his inaugural speech at the time. A few hours later, he gave that speech at City Hall, and now the video’s available from Seattle Channel online. (Rather just read about the speech? Here’s coverage from our partners at the Seattle Times.) P.S. Voted yet for your favorite citizen proposals on what the mayor’s priorities should be? No? You can do it here. (Among them: This one proposing an off-leash dog area at Lincoln Park.)

I’m digging the fact that he’s a Mac user.

I didn’t vote for the guy, but so far I’m impressed with his openness and how he has handled the change for the city.

Really like that website, I voted for him without a ton of confidence but that is a great start!

So this is a random question regarding him using a computer..

Is the computer in the photo his personal computer for his personal activities, is he using a personal computer for his work related activities or is it owned by his employer and he’s using it for work?

I ask because it can be a tricky slope on who owns the work and what potential rights the employer has on the data.

    Mayor Magoo

Wait a while for the shine to wear off.

Did you review the list of top 3 vote getters?

Reverse the order of those three, and I’m in! No one has wanted to see me on a nude beach for years.

Sorry, comment time is over.
