Two more reports to share from the WSB inbox:

First, from Diana:

Last night around 10:00-10:30’ish our house was broken into. We are in the 4700 block of Delridge [map]. A basement door was kicked in as well as a back deck kitchen door. All that was stolen was a home office computer. It was a “smash and grab” and happened very fast. No one was home at the time. Thankfully a good neighbor saw someone holding a computer monitor in front of the house, thought it suspicious, and called the police who responded immediately. Good neighbors make good friends!

From Bradley:

Thursday night, sometime after 11 pm, our 20 year old son came home (5400 block of 45th SW [map]) and went to put his bike away on the side of our house and discovered a man sleeping on the ground near our back gate. He seemed to be sound asleep, snoring away. At least we knew he was alive! Our son promptly alerted his father who then called the police. Meanwhile we kept watch to make sure he didn’t get up and leave. Once police arrived they woke him up and questioned him and found him to be drunk and disoriented. Apparently he had lost his way home, which he said was near High Point. The police also recognized him from a previous incident about 6 months ago, and said they would give him a ride home. Our dog, who normally barks at everything, was inside sleeping and never knew the difference. I tried to take a picture (which I would’ve definitely posted on the blog!) but it was too dark and I was afraid to wake him if I used the flash. Thank goodness he was just a drunk, but how bizarre.
