We’re including Monday events too, as well as Monday information (like government closures, Water Taxi/bus/ferry schedule changes, etc.), since this is it … the kickoff of summer … and as we type those very words, in fact, filtered sun is starting to wash over Upper Fauntleroy … 41 events and other notes listed ahead:

ALL WEEKEND: West Seattle history on display @ Log House Museum at Alki, Thursdays-Sundays, noon-4 pm

DAILY: Swim at Southwest Pool (schedule here)

DAILY (THROUGH JULY 26): Fauntleroy Church (WSB sponsor) bell-ringing daily at noon as part of centennial observance (read more here)

DAILY (THROUGH JUNE 3): Intergenerational Art Show at Providence Mt. Vincent; art show features works of art by the residents and children at The Mount. The artwork is displayed in the first floor hallway gallery and is available for sale.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY: “Questioning Silence” art exhibit @ ArtsWest, noon-7 pm both days

FRIDAY NIGHT: Live music @ C & P Coffee with Mike Pryor, 6-8 pm

FRIDAY NIGHT: Annual West Seattle High School student talent show, WSHS Theater, 7 pm (tickets $7/door)

SATURDAY AFTERNOON: Camp Long Naturalist, Christina Gallegos will take us on a search for salamanders, snakes and beetles. Learn what we need to do to protect these critters from all the pesticides and chemicals that threaten the future of our native wildlife. Find out why it is so important to leave the bad bugs as food for the good bugs. Find out what you can do to invite wildlife into your garden. Learn what plants provide food and shelter.
