Maybe Taco Bell will move into Olarn’s spot!

Olarn is horrible. I’ve gone there twice and gotten sick both times. And I eat at Thai restaurants all the time. Let’s hope something good moves in there.

    Ring, ring…Kidd Valley…it’s WS calling! :)

  • Jo February 3, 2008 (10:30 am)

    Where is Olarn’s Restaurant?

  • Jo February 3, 2008 (10:40 am)

Oops, didn’t read far enough down WSB’s description about where Olarn’s is located.

The Mexican Restaurant on Alki (forget the name) has to be the one below the Thai place. It’s got a large patio, and hasn’t done well since it opened, I don’t think. I know I had a a couple of awful meals there and haven’t gone back.

Could the first two places mentioned by WSB be the same place?

  • WSB February 3, 2008 (11:50 am)

The prices are different, and the listings are current, so it seems unlikely.

Forget Kidd Valley- we need a Red Mill!

  • Cami February 3, 2008 (12:13 pm)

Must be Cafe Feliz (mexican). The other I’m not sure about. A granite bar is the key clue. Hmmmm. The Bamboo?????

  • M February 3, 2008 (12:40 pm)

I really liked Olarn. Great food, easygoing atmosphere, nice staff. I’ll miss it.

  • Barbara February 3, 2008 (1:06 pm)

I second the need for a Red Mill!

Hey gals, as long as it’s a GOOD burger take-out joint with easy parking, I’m for it (although, deep-fried mushrooms and fresh banana shakes make me slightly partial to KV)!

  • JanS February 3, 2008 (1:59 pm)

yummmm…deep fried mushrooms…lol…going for the healthy stuff today, huh…..

  • GenHillOne February 3, 2008 (2:04 pm)

Anyone know what’s going on at Blackbird Restaurant next to the Admiral theatre? Walked by this a.m. and there was a sign on the door that they are no longer ‘seating’ and would be closed at 3 p.m. ??? for good? Just for today?

  • AlkiKmac February 6, 2008 (11:23 am)

Just heard a delivery truck was spotted this morning taking food items OUT of The Phoenecia Restaurant on Alki. I hope their not closing or selling. Their food is so good but I hardly ever see anyone inside.

Sorry, comment time is over.
