This time of year, ours is one of only two Farmers’ Markets still running in the whole city – we’re lucky! And it’s continuing on into the winter (in January it will switch to a slightly shorter schedule, 11 am-2 pm, but right now, it’s still 10 am-2 pm). Here’s the latest “fresh sheet” from the Farmers’ Market organizers:

NEW THIS WEEK:

Greens: Mizuna, Rapini from Willie Green’s at both markets

Mead (semi-sweet honey apple wine), French Style Norman Cider (apple-based champagne) Fool’s Gold (50% mead, 50% hard cider). All from Rockridge Farms in Enumclaw.

Fresh Duck, Chicken and Duck Eggs – Richman Gulch Farms – at U-District and West Seattle

YOGURT: Fresh, silky organic cow’s milk yogurt from Samish Bay Cheese in Bow, WA

Farm-made and inspired Holiday Wreaths: Rosemary, Bay Laurel, Cedar boughs, Rose Hips, Eucalyptus

HAZELNUTS: All varieties from Holmquist Hazelnuts Farms in Whatcom County. Raw, roasted, Dry roasted, barbecued, yogurt covered, chocolate covered. Also hazelnut flour, oil and shells for your garden.

PATE’: Pate de Foie (chicken, pork and calf liver with red wine, cream and garlic. Also chicken livers simmered in butter and cognac).

EGGS: Lovingly collected every morning from organically fed, run-around-the-barnyard local chickens and ducks.
