The annual Copper River salmon hoopla started today. Looks like Metropolitan Market joins the fun later this week. Here at WSB HQ, we “celebrated” with Copper River on the cheap.

    Wait a couple of weeks and you can get it for $6/pound at Costco. :-]

    I’m not a Copper river Salmon fan. I prefer Coho.

    I’m not a Jigger’s fan. I prefer Copper River salmon.

    Actually if I could get my hands on fresh King more, I’d buy that instead.

    Actually the Copper River is a location not a species of salmon. Jigger; the first bunch of Copper River Salmon are kings, followed by sockeye later. There are also silvers, aka “coho”, they just do not have the marketing buzz that the Kings and Sockeye do.
