Holding Grief with Listening to Grief
In this intimate workshop, we will make space to connect and share what it looks like from wherever we are in the grief journey; consider where we may be holding grief and accompanying emotions in our bodies; and — the highlight — experience brief, clothed massage from volunteers from the NW Academy for the Healing Arts.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to identify where grief has gotten stuck in your body; you’ll have learned about some of the science of grief in the body; released some of the grief you are carrying; and, best of all, feel more relaxed.

Grief Support Groups
Grief groups are brave and safe spaces where bereaved people can share their stories and speak their loved one’s name without fear of getting advice, platitudes, or being shut out, no matter how long it’s been since their loved one’s passing. Every participant has dedicated time to speak about whatever they’d like, without judgment or interruption. Talking about our deceased loved ones in a supportive environment helps us remember them fully and helps us learn to carry the weight of their loss a little more gently.
These are ongoing, drop-in groups, but space is limited. Because of the sensitive nature of traumatic loss, the Thursday group is open only for those who are traumatic loss survivors. Learn more and register at listeningtogrief.com/groups. Contact Tamara at tamara@listeningtogrief.com with questions.

Drop by, say hi, and let’s make working from home a little less solo!

Winter Sauna Social | Women Without Children — Alki Beach, Seattle
A relaxed, Nordic-inspired sauna gathering for women without children (childfree or childless) who are looking to connect in community.
Join us on Saturday, January 17th from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm at Alki Beach for a privately booked winter sauna session rooted in warmth, water, and conversation that’s inspired by traditions where gathering through the darker months is a way of slowing down and being together.
This gathering is for women without children and is designed to offer an easy, welcoming way to connect with others on a similar path. It is hosted by Our Sister•Ship, a Seattle-based travel community for women without children focused on connection through shared experience.
For those who’d like to arrive together, we’ll begin with a casual pre-sauna meet-up at 11:30 am at a nearby coffee shop before the sauna session begins at 12:30 pm. This is simply a chance to grab a warm drink and say hello before heading over as a group.
Group size is limited to 16 individuals. You do not need to be affiliated with Our Sister•Ship to attend.
Tickets can be purchased on the Our Sister•Ship website at a discounted community rate for West Seattle residents or on EventBrite using this link.
