Have you seen Ella? Missing teen might be in West Seattle

Family and friends are looking for 13-year-old Ella Blalock in this area, two nights after she was last seen, and hope you can help. They say the boy she might be with has friends here, and they might have headed this way. We don’t have details of her disappearance but we know police are on the lookout too, so if you have any information about her whereabouts, call 911.

This is a nightmare. West Seattle can be small. Is there any way to find out who this boy’s friends are? I’ve been working with a wide range of young people for the last 8 years and it could help to know who her friend knows here.
Is that something I’d ask on Facebook?
    This is just heartbreaking.

DB – if you follow the link to the photo shared on the WSB Facebook page http://facebook.com/westseattleblog , I believe it leads at some point to the young lady’s mom, and maybe you could communicate with her directly. Her last name is Hughes.

Ella, if you see this, call your mom. Stress from a missing child can put you over the edge and make your mom end up in a hospital. I did it when I was young and regret what I put my parents through.Perhaps they don’t give you a lot of freedom. You’re young and pretty and perfect bait for creepers to seek out and harm.If you’re with friends, call her now so she knows you’re safe. This terrifies every parent.I’m not your mom but am also worried about you.Do the right thing please, tonite. You won’t regret it.

Ella, your parents obviously love you very much. Hopefully someone in your world helps you safely return home. Heartbreaking.

I just looked at the FB front page. I can’t access more of FB b/c I don’t want to join it and create a logon, but saw a few posts stating that she may actually look a little different in person and may not be easily identified by this picture above. Maybe the family could provide additional photos if they suspect a kidnapping?

It looks like /u/kazzmere is closely involved with the search. You might post or contact him/her on Reddit with any questions.

    How much is the reward?

  • Sillygoose November 23, 2014 (9:56 am)

This is a parents worst night mare, I will ask my 15 year old if she has heard anything, these kids and their social media seem to know so much more than us adults!! I will keep this beautiful girl and her family in my prayers.

  • miws November 23, 2014 (10:53 am)

Mr Man, the amount of the reward that anyone might receive for locating Ella, and getting her safely back Home, would be the satisfaction of knowing they had helped reunite a Family.

    .

Any monetary reward, could perhaps be politely declined, or graciously accepted, and then donated to a Cause that Advocates for Lost/Runaway Children.

    .

    Mike

miws, totally agree with your response to Mr Man’s post. Ensuring safety of a kid should never require a reward. However, rewards do sometimes enhance the chance people might speak up.

My son recently ran off with his girlfriend. They were found 6 days later but I truly know and understand the heartbreak. Please call home, Ella. Your family just wants to know you are safe. Everything else can be worked out. They need to know you are safe!!!!!!

Pretty sure I saw her at Luna Park this morning, and heard her give her name for their party to the waitress. “Ella.” I just called the tip line. Hope it was her. Thanks for posting.
