Maybe we should follow suit

Thanks to CHS for pointing to Defend Capitol Hill. As in, from condos. In our case,  townhomes. Perhaps the iconic image could be a red circle-slash through the Death Star Trench (as coined by “Steve E” in a comment on this post).

  1. man, what a bunch of cranky NIMBYs. More people in West Seattle = more business for WS, more political clout for WS, more attention to our issues, affordable housing (useful for post-college WS refugees hoping to someday move back to the homeland). Ever been to San Francisco? The whole city is a “Death Star Trench”, and it’s actually quite nice.

  2. What would be really great is if we could get more EMPLOYMENT in West Seattle. Beyond retail and some industrial jobs near the water. I’m talking about some office space. How great it would be to never have to leave! Work and live in West Seattle = solve many transportation problems.

  3. Eric…I’m self-employed…massage therapist…and I work at home…I love it, I almost never use my car. I live in the Admiral District right behind Safeway. I have access to the library, 3 grocery stores, a drugstore, restaurants, the buses are 1/2 block away….it’s great.

  4. That is a sweet set up neighbor Jan. I wish I could tele-commute, that’s what I think there needs to be more of.
