Many of the viaduct replacement options didn’t include a downtown exit, only the north/south option supported by the current tunnel design.

And please! No more options! Let’s just get the thing built.

In defense of many of the posters above, I don’t think it’s that easy to figure these things out. I literally looked at the drawings (as research for my job at the time) and noticed there was no downtown exit….I wondered what they were doing with the Columbia death entrance.
