Last year, it was powdered milk, the year before, it was lead in the toys.

When are the W.S. parents who care going to tell their Representatives to “Quit Allowing Food Imports from China”?

    ummmm…is this what you’re referencing to? http://www.themoneytimes.com/featured/20100924/baby-formula-recall-involves-5-million-cansabbott-id-10129502.html

I just read the article, and I don’t think I saw China mentioned. I saw Sturgis, MN, and a couple of other places, but, nope….no China….

The FDA doesn’t adequately monitor quality of U.S. products, why should we expect more oversight on imports?

Buy local! If you can’t, read the labels and know where your food is coming from – and what’s in it. Even the name of Similac is creepy – “similar to milk”? Hardly.

The OP is probably confusing this incident with the ongoing issue of melamine being used in powdered milk and formula products made in China, which has been linked to illness in infants. But a) the products in question are not Similac, b) the latest story involves insect contamination in a U.S. plant, not a deliberate additive to a product made elsewhere, and c) China is halting the practice of adding melamine and recalling products where it’s found.

It took me about 5 minutes to determine the above, 1909 Craftsman. Get your facts straight.

People do their research on this blog. Be careful before you post if you haven’t done yours…
