Food Lifeline is in search of volunteers to help pack food to our hungry neighbors.

Did you know that 40% of food in America goes to waste? You can help change that by volunteering with Food Lifeline’s Fresh Rescue program. Local grocery stores donate perishable and shelf-stable products, including produce, dairy, meat and bakery items. Volunteers work alongside a trained staff to inspect and pack grocery donations for immediate distribution to 275 local food assistance programs. Fresh Rescue volunteer sessions take place Mondays through Fridays, morning (8:45am-12pm) and afternoon (12:45pm-5pm). By volunteering with Food Lifeline, you make it possible for close the missing meal gap in Western Washington.

For more information or to sign up to volunteer, please email our volunteer team at volunteer@foodlifeline.org 206-545-6600 or visit http://www.foodlifeline.volunteerhub.com to sign up for a volunteer session!
