JoBParticipantDoes anyone know why one of the the Vashon Ferries was blowing smoke today? It was blowing smoke as it pulled out of the Vashon Ferry Dock.. and we saw it happen more than once.
this is something we have never seen before.. and wondered if anyone knows why…

JanSParticipantcould that be the one on biodeisel? It’s a new experiment, I understand…WSB mentioned it on the “not forum” page last week, I think…

WSBKeymasterThe Issaquah isn’t due back till tomorrow, biodiesel and all, unless it was out on trials today.

JanSParticipantwell, maybe there was an all male crew today…I’ve known plenty of men who just blow smoke – lol..
oops…that was the cynical side, not the “helpful” side…so sorry ;-)

JoBParticipantThe faunteroy/vashon/southworth ferry has three boats today.. and one of them is definately blowing smoke when it accelerates…
it’s kind of picturesque in an old steam train sort of way…
must be the biodiesel???

CroweMemberNot sure about the biodiesel, but I have seen it before many a time. Made me feel sorry for the million dollar house owners that live right there, breathing it in. Made me happy to live in my Apt. up the bluff. :0)
