AlkiRagdollParticipantI talked with Lien Animal Hospital today — Anyone who has further suggestions on how to raise more money, feel free to post. Please keep it positive. I am reaching back into my pockets… and checking for loose change in the sofa, as slighly over $600 is still needed. Thanks to everyone who has contributed. I know how tight money is right now, but Zack and Furry Faces really could use our help. Trying to keep this alive and visible. Thanks

inactiveMemberI don’t have any creative ideas, but I think I can manage to stop by there and drop off a check in the next day or two. If 59 other people did that for $10, we’d have it covered.

You could maybe charge admission and that could go towards the vet bills for Zach?

alki_2008ParticipantIf there is a satisfactory location to do this…how about a dog wash, with nail clipping as well. I realize that a cat-oriented fundraiser might seem more related, so it could be that half of the $ goes to Zack and the rest to a dog-oriented charity?
The only stipulation should be that experienced people do the actual work. It’s one thing to bathe your own pets that are comfortable with you, but bathing a unfamiliar dog is another story since they can get nervous and skittish. So, that might be the toughest thing – but local vet clinics or rescue/foster facilities would be a good place to request volunteers.
On that note…there’s always the standard car wash fundraiser, but not sure if this is the best weather for that.

guidosmomMemberI will be at Lien Friday AM to drop off a dog I adopted a few months ago, for her spay appointment (would have had it done sooner but she came into season), I’ll be picking her up Sat and will make a donation for poor Zack then. Can anyone inquire as to how much more is owed (to give an idea how much we can donate)? I wasn’t familiar with Zack’s story, so went back and read the older posts, poor guy. I hope he is doing well.

TammiWSMemberMy donation today pushed them over the amount due for surgery however Zack continues to need medication so they were open to taking additional donations if you wanted to help with that.

AlkiRagdollParticipantAs of this afternoon when I talked with Lien — all the necessary funds have been collected for Zack’s surgery. I am sure that Jane is very appreciative. To help Furry Faces, I suggest that any amount$ above that needed go to help other efforts of this foundation. I am so proud of this community (WSB AND WS) — and it shows just what we can do when we work together. Zack has been blessed to find Jane, and I am sure that Jane is reaping the rewards of Zacks affections.
