Looking for private trombone lessons for a 5th grader. Would prefer West Seattle, but will travel if it’s not too far. Thanks in advance!

Highly, highly recommend Jeff Steen. He is a middle-school music teacher in the Highline School District and does lessons on the side. We did lessons with him for a couple of years and were extremely pleased. He’ll even come to your home!

    His number is 390-3326.

    You’re most welcome. He’s a great guy.

I’ll also add that he provides instruction for many instruments – not just trombone. My son actually started on alto sax, and through the time spent with Jeff it was determined that he’d be better off playing a brass instrument due to the shape and structure of his mouth. He then tried different instruments until they found the one that fit.

One other option is the Seattle Drum School in Georgetown. Its really easy to get there from W.S. They teach all instruments there and their instructors are all top notch.
